Grout Pen White Tile Paint Marker: Waterproof Grout Paint, Tile Grout Colorant and Sealer Pens - White, Narrow 5mm Tip (7mL)

I bought this product at the recommendation of a neighbor who has the same old tile floors in her condo. I didnt want to spend a ton of money to replace my bathroom floor so I gave this a shot. I originally purchased 2 pens thinking that would be enough. I went through the 2 pens after doing half of the floor (you can see my bathroom size in the photo). I ended up ordering 3 more. In total I ended up needing 5 pens for my bathroom floor. Depending on the condition of your floor, the process of painting between the tiles can be long and tedious. Mine were in rough shape and needed 3 coats to cover the old grout. It took me approximately 6 hours to finish which I did in increments (2 hours for the first coat then let dry, 2 hours for the second then let dry, 2 hours for the third). I had the TV on in the background so it wasnt bad. I had to get in a rhythm of shaking the pen and gently pushing it on the tile, but once you get the hang of it, its easy. Do not press hard when applying it or you will crush the tip. The only negative thing I could say is that I wish the consistency of the paint would have been a bit thicker so I didnt have to apply so many coats, but otherwise, great product!

The only issue I have is the brush wore out too soon, but it did work very well, and I had to go over the grout twice. I may purchase another or see if they offer a new brush.

I ordered five of these pens (3 different orders). The first pen worked great to cover the stain on the grout between my bathroom tile. It restored the tile to a beautiful white color, making the shower look clean and crisp. It was pretty easy to use... most of the time. Some of the time, I had trouble getting the colorant to flow properly, making the task grind to a halt as I attempted over and over to get it flowing. There were at least 2 out of the 5 pens I ordered that I couldnt get to work. Since I was trying to sell the house, it was a real pain to have to stop working on it and order a new pen and wait for it to ship. Had all 5 pens worked, I wouldve been able to cover 2 shower stalls worth of tile in standard sized tub/shower combination bathrooms. I gave 4 stars because I loved the pens when they were working as they should. My advice: Order one or a few extra depending on the size of your job so it can be completed in a timely manner. The other option I tried was a paint on and wipe technique using grout colorant that you pour into a little container and literally use a tiny paint brush to apply the colorant. This technique also worked, but I found it more tedious than the grout pen.

Basically, this stuff paints your grout. It does a fantastic job for about 15 minutes - then the tip becomes frayed and the paint runs out. Would give it 5 stars if it lasted longer. See my before and after photos of my kitchen tile counter. It doesnt clean up all the dirt in the cracks but does cover most of the uglies.

You would think these geniuses could make a better product after all these years.

Easy to use. Covers nicely.

I did my bathroom floor with gray grout and it came out perfect. It gave my bathroom a whole new look and everyone loved it. I am doing the grout on my tile on the kitchen wall. It looks great.

The product works well.. I did feel it didn’t last as long as I thought it would.. I was working in a standard size kitchen and I have used 4 pens.. I’m not sure if this would be normal for the product or not

Worked great to make my front entry tiles looks brand new. Only issue I had was that the end of the marker got really soft really fast. Because grout is pretty rough the end of the marker got soft and flimsy pretty quickly making it hard to make straight lines and hard to get the grout to coat well. Otherwise was a great product overall.
