> 3 daySimply wrong. All the time. The device wouldnt connect or work at all for a long time. We finally got it to work, but apparently its been giving us the wrong weight the entire time. I nearly had a panic attack because it said my 4-month-old had lost a pound! The pediatrician saw us the next day and he was 2 pounds more than the weight the Hatch told us. I zeroed out every single time and its been on the same level surface. What good is this product if it gives an incorrect weight? Its not only useless, but dangerous for babies because the weight you get is completely inaccurate. Their customer service is completely unhelpful. Theyre cheerful and cant ever solve the problem or give any real explanation for it. They also will not refund you if you purchase from Amazon. Stay far, far away.

> 3 dayI bought this right before I had my son a few months ago and am SO happy I did, even though it was a bit more expensive than a normal changing pad: -looove that I can just wipe it off when things get messy. I have enough laundry to clean lol so its nice not to have to also wash a changing pad cover -hes an eating champ now but it was really reassuring the first month when i had no idea what I was doing and I could see how much he was eating when breastfeeding -Its wonderful not to have to pack him up to head to the docs office if I want to see how much he weighs. I like that I can see all of his weight charted out in the app graph -the color works perfectly in my baby boys room but neutral enough if we ever had a girl! :) Highly recommend to any new parents out there. The first month can be so overwhelming and having this really gave me the confidence that my baby was eating and gaining enough! One less thing to worry about...

17-11-2024UPDATE: Costumer service reached out to me and we are getting a refund! I am very impressed that they want to make it right. I upgraded my review from a 1 star because of their efforts. THANK YOU! This scale was not accurate for us. If I was not so crazy with a newborn, I would have reached out the company early and tried to figure out the issue. The free app is the best part for tracking babies diapers and feedings.

> 3 dayi have one foster cat who is obese and one of my own cats who is too thin, so i wanted to be able to monitor their weights. i wanted a scale that didnt have a wobbly metal or shelf to put the animal on or anything that otherwise might spook and frighten them. this one is PERFECT for that. i put it near where the cat eats, and it naturally goes to sit on it to clean itself after all. i weigh it during that brief time. brilliant. BUT. for reasons i cannot guess, the app can track only two animals. period. so my original hope was to track all my pets and fosters, deleting fosters eventually and maybe storing their data in a google sheet in case they came back to me. my own animals are already four to track (well, three bc one dog is larger than this permits). so i could track *only* those two cats. to track another animal at some point, ill have to copy ones data to a google sheet, then rename it in the app and pretend not to know about the previous weights. (maybe theres a way to delete and create a new one, but i havent really looked for or found it yet.) so, perfect for one or two animals. annoying but still pretty awesome if you want to track more.

18-11-2024I had rented a hospital grade scale for one month and it cost $75. So when I heard of the hatch grow scale I jumped on purchasing it. My LO has struggled with putting on weight and i was having to go to the pediatrician for biwkly weight checks. So when he finally put on enough weight I was allowed to stop the visits but I still wanted to make sure I was feeding him enough during each nursing session. The scale has SO many amazing features. You can do pre and post feed weights. Height, diaper output, sleep schedules and add in pump sessions along with nursing times. It’s seriouskt amazing and since having it I’ve been able to gauge his milk transfer amounts so accurately that I can add in a bottle of pumped milk if I don’t think he’s gotten enough during the day. I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayI LOVE this scale and if it weren’t for a couple issues I would give it 5 stars. It worked perfect for months then started having issues with getting accurate weights. Customer service said they were fine but there’s no way she lost two pounds in a day. Sometimes it works perfect sometimes it gives me crazy different readings back to back. Maybe it’s becuase she’s older now? The other thing I would love to see changed is if you could designate breastfed or not and use the WHO charts for breastfed babies if applicable. That would really make the app perfect. I love that I can monitor her intake, monitor loss when she’s sick and automatically plot her growth curve. My doc even loves it!

> 3 dayLove love love this product! It saved us a follow up trip to a lactation consultant. As a first time, breastfeeding mom this changing pad gives me the information I need to know to monitor my babys weight gain at a frequency Im comfortable with - no more waiting months for the next doctors appointment! It also allows me to assess my activity and dietary choices to ensure my milk production is not negatively impacted. The pad fits well on a standard dresser top and Ive got not complaints in the look department. The pad is sleek and clean, also cleanups are quick and easy! The app is also super useful and straight forward to use. I can throw away all my diaper & feeding journal sheets of paper :D I just wish I had this from day 1 when I brought my baby home!

> 3 dayIf you are obsessed with details and have a newborn this is 100% for you. I purchased for my 2 week old and already had a changing pad but was intrigued about the weight feature on this. It’s super helpful for breastfeeding when you have no clue how much baby is eating. There seems to be a .5 oz variance at each weigh in but for the most part you can get a good idea if she’s eating enough. I have had it for a little over a month now. The app also allows you to report naps and dirty diapers so you can keep track of everything in the same place.

> 3 dayWorst scale and a total rip-off! The scale broke after a year and a half and since the warranty is only a year they wouldn’t do anything for me except give me 20% off. The “loading cells” are so delicate , evidently moving it to clean can break them. Why advertise it as a changing station when it Is obviously going to take some kind of movement and “downward pressure”. It claimes to have a weight limit of 44 pds. Well I guess don’t put a heavy baby on it or let the baby kick. According to their email to me “Grow is damaged when more than 44lbs of pressure has been applied to the scale which breaks the weighing mechanism.” It claims to be accurate to .25 oz but I rarely got repeatable result and often had to take multiple measurements to even get an idea . It is known that this scale is one of the most inaccurate. This company exploits new parents who want to measure newborn feedings. I completely regret this purchase. If I had had more time and energy to do more research after my baby was born, I would have seen that they are not only one of the most innacurate but have the worst warranty for scales. I am assuming they want parents to repeatedly buy this after it breaks after warranty expires , or expect them to throw it away after a year if they have only one child . There are many scales that are much better. This thing for me now is nothing more than a overpriced changing pad. My advice is to either get the Health-o-meter grow with me which has a 10 YEAR WARRANTY or Hopkins Featherweight Baby Scale which has a 3 year warranty and graduations of .16 oz and is only 40 dollars more than the stupid Hatch grow. Or just take the time to do more research. I’ve heard you can rent professional grade scales and even for around 300 you can buy a professional grade scale. The Hatch grow is not durable and won’t last through multiple children . It didn’t even last through one child for me. No Hatch. I’m not going to use your 20% off to buy your product again. I’m not stupid enough to spend another 100 dollars to replace it when it is obviously just going to break again.
