This product is great until about 3-4 months in when the little feet start popping off with normal use. I have 3 kids and after our second I wanted a white wipe clean changing pad for obvious reasons. The wipe clean factor of this changing pad is exactly what I wanted. But now here I am 6-8 months in and 2 feet have come off and so the pad wobbles back and forth which is very annoying. The scale won’t work because now the feet are missing. Then one of the strap pieces broke off right when my youngest needs to be strapped in regularly because she likes to flip all over the place when she’s being changed. I feel like this is now a safety issue. The straps shouldn’t be able to break off like this. Yes you should always be watching your child on the changing pad, but now I have no way of keeping her from flipping over as I try to change her diaper. I’m very disappointed that for the price this changing pad didn’t last more than a few months.

I could not be happier with this scale...I really couldnt. Our child is on the lower end of the weight percentiles. Every ounce matters...and we found that the time between doctors visits was too long to react to him not gaining weight. In comes Hatch! For not much more money than any other quality scale (basically double from a nice scale), you buy into a nice changing pad that is also a smart scale. I love the integration with the app. We were using the app Sprout before, but the Hatch app (which the scale needs to use) is a good stand in for sprout. If you are in the market for a smart scale, do not hesitate to buy this one. It is very much worth the premium in price.

Worst scale and a total rip-off! The scale broke after a year and a half and since the warranty is only a year they wouldn’t do anything for me except give me 20% off. The “loading cells” are so delicate , evidently moving it to clean can break them. Why advertise it as a changing station when it Is obviously going to take some kind of movement and “downward pressure”. It claimes to have a weight limit of 44 pds. Well I guess don’t put a heavy baby on it or let the baby kick. According to their email to me “Grow is damaged when more than 44lbs of pressure has been applied to the scale which breaks the weighing mechanism.” It claims to be accurate to .25 oz but I rarely got repeatable result and often had to take multiple measurements to even get an idea . It is known that this scale is one of the most inaccurate. This company exploits new parents who want to measure newborn feedings. I completely regret this purchase. If I had had more time and energy to do more research after my baby was born, I would have seen that they are not only one of the most innacurate but have the worst warranty for scales. I am assuming they want parents to repeatedly buy this after it breaks after warranty expires , or expect them to throw it away after a year if they have only one child . There are many scales that are much better. This thing for me now is nothing more than a overpriced changing pad. My advice is to either get the Health-o-meter grow with me which has a 10 YEAR WARRANTY or Hopkins Featherweight Baby Scale which has a 3 year warranty and graduations of .16 oz and is only 40 dollars more than the stupid Hatch grow. Or just take the time to do more research. I’ve heard you can rent professional grade scales and even for around 300 you can buy a professional grade scale. The Hatch grow is not durable and won’t last through multiple children . It didn’t even last through one child for me. No Hatch. I’m not going to use your 20% off to buy your product again. I’m not stupid enough to spend another 100 dollars to replace it when it is obviously just going to break again.

    Greater than one week

As a new mom with a baby who struggled with breastfeeding and gaining weight, this product gave us so much peace of mind to know that she was continuing to grow. The changing pad is sleek and easy to clean. The Hatch app is wonderfully easy to use with so many great features to track feedings, sleep, diapers, etc. As a first time mom, I couldn’t recommend this product more!

I bought this for my daughter, in white. The white is wearing off leaving an orange color. She used the scale a few times but said since she was weighed at the doctors so frequently it wasn’t necessary. She didn’t use it for breastfeeding. Due to its short length it’s good for babies, but she is 8 months and it starting to outgrow it.

Our baby was born 5lbs full-term so we constantly stress about if he’s gaining weight. With breastfeeding there is no way to know exactly how much he was feeding so we wanted a scale to help guide us. The Hatch has been perfect for this. I can’t speak to how precise it is (I didn’t place a scientifically measured weight on it to see what it said) but I will say based on the weights at the doctors office it’s very good. It is great for consistency... pre- and post- feed weighs and showing over the course of a week or few days the progress the little guy is making. What’s even better is the app. It is necessary to use the scale (there is no screen that shows the weight). But it records the weights, feed time/amounts, diapers, timing and duration of feeds, sleep, pumping schedule, etc. You can enter data manually or hit the start button and have the app record it for you. There is a dashboard that keeps the info readily available so you know when the next feed will be.

I had newborn who had issues with breastfeeding and keeping up her weight! I could rely on this scale to help me see how much she was gaining between well child visits and helped me on our breastfeeding/bottle feeding journey. The app is also amazing and I used it to track all of our feeds, pumps, diapers, weights, etc. So useful for timing feeds, naps, pumps and also for knowing how my baby was doing with the percentile graphs it provides as well.

This is one of the few expensive baby items that I bought myself. And I am so glad I did! The scale is pretty accurate and weights are mostly the same as at my pediatrician office. It’s so nice and reassuring to see my baby gaining weight every day. It’s also great to see how much she’s getting at her feedings, which as a breastfeeding mom is impossible to know without a scale! It’s easy to clean also and just seems so much more convenient than the changing pads that need covers. I do put a prefold down on it just so it’s a little softer and even easier to clean. Highly recommend!

My little guy was born early and small. This Hatch diaper changing pad was a frazzled parents best friend. Having a scale at home that a can weigh a baby is a really neat tool. Having a scale that can weigh a small baby that was born with potential for stomach and absorption issues is a really important tool to have. I would use the scale feature often. Before and after breast feeding to measure how many ounces he ingested. Daily to make sure he was gaining weight at an appropriate pace. The changing pad itself is made of a solid material that is soft to the touch. While hubby and I disagree on this, I thought the surface was never too cold (although he disagreed and would put a cloth down for changes on cold nights). Its easy to clean - I wipe down with either a baby wipe or a clorox wipe depending on the need. Baby is very comfortable on this pad, and loves getting his diaper changed!

It works well until it doesn’t. The foot broke off of the base and it doesn’t work anymore, was only able to use for a few months. It wasn’t worth the cost due to the limited use.
