I purchased this to connect multiple outside Christmas lights. The instructions that came with the device were printed on a small fold out paper. They werent immediately clear but after studying for several minutes one is able to figure them out. They are generalized to use with all their devices so you have to interpret somewhat for the specific device youre installing. Downloading the HBN app to use with my iPhone was simple and the app itself was somewhat intuitive. I connected it to my home wifi inside first just to test it. I then hooked it up outside to the lights and scheduled it to turn off and on. It worked like a charm. With 3 outlets I was able to schedule 2 of them to turn off and on with the lights and still have the 3rd on continually for other uses as needed. I am very pleased with this device. And more importantly, it made my wife happy.

I switched to this plug because of the angled shape. It allows me to outlet in multiple devices without interference of the the plugs. The app works perfectly with my smartphone. I only wished that the plug on the outlet was 90 degrees. The one I replaced was 90 degrees. Otherwise it is perfect.

Product arrived on time and package is as it appeared. I found it easy to install app and get it set up. Used it last weekend while out of town and it worked. I came home to plants that were happy. Definitely will purchase more.

Cant conect the app is out od date and it does not work with 5ghz internet

My second HBN device and I remain a big fan. This one controls a fountain, umbrella, and patio lighting. I can control by app or Google Home.

I bought this smart plug for my outdoor Christmas lights. So I haven’t used it yet. It was a little difficult to set up but I did.

Ez to use

I got it set up just fine in the HBN app, but Alexa couldn’t control outlet #1. It could control #2, #3 and all at one time, but not #1. I got a replacement from Amazon (very quickly) but that unit had the same problem. I wrote to the tech support email and got no answer. I submitted a request on their website and got a reply within 30 minutes, but following those instructions didn’t fix it. I’m planning to return the second unit and go with another brand. However, if you just want to use the HBN app to control this outlet, or don’t mind that one outlet can’t be controlled with Alexa, then maybe this is right for you.

I like that each plug con be controlled separately. I use it with outside lights and with the app I have programmed the lights to come on in the evening and off in the morning. So easy! So easy to connect too.

This is great, we installed it on our google home, works well. No need to go outside to plug/unplug the Christmas lights
