Heavy Duty Drop Rod - Adjust-A-Gate Pin Latch Drop Rod for Double Drive Gates - Black (30in. High rod)

Worked well for our application as house gate. We ended up drilling holes into the concrete for hole insertion. Overall, a good product for the do it your-selfer. You will need to mod.

I purchased two of these and were easy to install and are perfect in length.

These drop rods are ok. I like that they are long but seeing how they are designed for adjust a gate they could only be applied one way when the instructions state they can be applied more than one way. They are also not “heavy duty”.

Extremely handy for a no sag double gate. Tho installing the 2 gate kits took me way longer than expected. Not a professional carpentet.

I bought this rod based on a review that indicated it was 1/2in, its not its instead with coating a 9/16in rod, which means now I have to get a grinder and remove the old rod mounting thats welded or drill it to make this thing fit. My own stupidity for not confirming the actual dimensions before buying it. It is however a substantial upgrade over whats out there currently, and broken. So Ill probably be raising this rating after I get busy with my drill and grinder to make this thing fit. Update, after some grinding and getting better mounting hardware this solution is now attached to my gate and laughed off a nasty storm. It was well worth the work to get it installed.
