> 3 dayThere are other options out there for a network to USB-c adapter that are less costly but I have to say this seems to be a well made unit. The cable is a woven reinforced one, the USB-c end comes with a plastic plug for keeping the interior dust and debris free and the main component body is metal for heavy duty use. The adapter was immediately recognized by my laptop and as soon as I disabled the wifi it connected to my network quickly with no issues.

> 3 dayWith all of the thin devices out there sometimes we need an Ethernet port. I happen to do a fair amount of small computer engineering and do need a usb Ethernet adapter. I plugged this into a windows 11 device and it was plug and play. No configuration required and worked with it seconds. Zero complaints on fit or function. Plus the metal housing is nice for longevity.

> 3 dayThe HENRETY USB to Ethernet Adapter was recognized and connected immediately when inserted into my Win10 laptop USB port. The unit was well boxed and wrapped in plastic, but the foam insert that held the unit was stuck to the box and was somewhat difficult to remove. Once it was unstuck the unit came out easily, but its a good idea to take your time to remove the unit as the exterior cardboard could rip easily. The Ethernet cable connected properly and the connection was fast and stable. A better and more secure choice than Wi-fi if you have a network switch or router port available.

> 3 dayI recently started using a MacBook Pro M1 (Apple silicon) which only has USB C ports. I bought this adapter to allow me to use wired ethernet instead of wifi. It has been working great without any issues. I put the laptop to sleep when I am done with it and when I wake the machine back up the network is immediately connected. I rarely need to disconnect and reconnect this adapter.

> 3 dayI am a network engineer, so I often need to use a physical ethernet connection to test or configure equipment. However, I hate carrying a bulky laptop around. I remember years back when they came out with the netbook, a tiny laptop. Those seemed like a great idea, but they were so absurdly slow as to be unusable. Today I use an iPad Air v5 plus the excellent apple Magic Keyboard. This gives me the equivalent of those old netbooks, but fast and much more flexible since it runs the full range of IOS software. But it doesnt have an ethernet port. However, since it does have a USB C port, I can use an inexpensive device such as this one to give it that capability. This unit is compact, with a dark grey aluminum shell and a sturdy braided cord about 6 inches long. It includes the usual LEDs to indicate connection speed and network activity. It requires no drivers and works great. I was able to get close to full speed with it on my gigabit network connection. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayAfter receiving the Henrety ethernet adaptor, I plugged it into the USB-C port of my MacBook Pro. I then plugged one end of an ethernet cable into the adaptor and plugged the other end into the NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch in my wifi system. I use a Netgear Orbi mesh router which is fed 1GB of internet fiber speed, which is a good test of the adaptor. The testing was performed using Ooklas Speedtest app, which was pegged to the max of the apps capability during the test. The older Orbi doesnt quite reach the 1-gig potential, but it does hover in the 900-950MBS range. The adaptor exhibited a little latency, which cost a star. Otherwise, it performed as expected.

> 3 daywhat needs to be said? New laptops no longer come with wired internet cable ports. So... when you absolutely need to be hardwired for internet how do you do it? I had to install a network printer and wifi was spotty. once i got this and plugged it in, I was able to immediately locate the printer on the network and set it up. After that, I was able to print to it over the wiri network. It is one of those IT things where we have to be on the actual network first to access secure printers. Technically not supposed to be able to print over wifi but once you are in the VPN side of the company, well... hello easy printing from laptop to any meeting room printer. This is now part of the tech we are purchasing with new laptops.
