I bought 3 drives - one of which arrived with factory handling damage (vs. manufacturing defect) and which was promptly replaced by the vendor (Price Slayer). While its still very early days, all 3 test out and perform satisfactorily. Contact and dealings with vendor were excellent. Re: performance, the only issue of note is that the drives tend to run hot. E.g., 43 C degrees in an open external dock/enclosure, w/ ambient air at 70 F (immediately following 7 GB write op.). Unsurprisingly, running a desk fan towards the drives brings the temp down several degrees. On other issues commented upon by some purchasers, I do not find the drives to be at all noisy, nor do they appear to be refurbished (vs. new).

Ive ordered a lot of these, and all but one have failed within a year. Over the past few months, I have ordered three of them. Two were DOA. The third lasted a week. Note that these went into a RAID 5 enclosure.

I needed this really bad. Im glad I could get one this quickly and it functioning a lot better than my other one.

Normaly drives are supposed to last 20,000 hours before they start having problems however this drive only lasted 4,000 before it started slowing way down and making grinding noises when files were transfered on and off of it. Other than that it was a good cheap drive. You get what you pay for

These make a small amount of noise under heavy use, but Ive had much worse. They stay cool and work great in an ASUSTOR NAS. These also support hardware encryption that can be optionally enabled. These have the highest reliability rating of any drive in its class.

Fast.

Rock & Roll! I run three 2TB drives (two identical older models as well). This one is on USB with Mediasonic ProBox, and fast enough for my purposes.
