HGST/Hitachi (HUA723020ALA641) Ultrastar 7K3000 2TB 64MB 7200RPM 3.5 (Enterprise Grade) SATA III 6.0Gb/s Hard Drive

Needed another drive for raid array, this fit the bill and matched those that came in server.

This is a used drive, that is in near fail state. SMART log indicates that this drive has 5 failed sectors and has been in use for over 12,000 hours. This item is clearly represented as new and nowhere is it noted that it has been used for extensive amount of time previously. Stay away unless you want to risk your drive failing and loosing all your data within months.

Bought this in 2014, and its still running like a charm. High performance with no issues. Highly recommended.

Hitachi Ultrastar 2TB HDD Enterprise class 7200RPM this is very used but inexpensive. Mine fired right up, been using it everyday for months, runs quiet and reliable, no problems. I may order some more of these, very low price for a quality piece. They will probably outlast the cheap and popular, but poorly made new drives many seem to buy from the big 2 makers. Always great hard drives and great price

This hard drive was easy to fit in my system. I have tried many named hard drives and they do not seem to last a long as the Hitachi.

Drives are USED! I did a SMART test and looked at the reports. All 5 drives I bought were used, each with over 10,000 hours. All had been reset so that the SMART Power_On_Hours read zero. Looking at the SMART self test log, I could see that offline self tests had been performed - one test on one drive was at 20,000 hours! When I bought this I was glad that the price was so low however with that comes some risk which I sadly learned with this purchase. I bought this drive to use as a storage drive for steam games. I went to load up another game when I got home and the drive quit. I was unable to open the disk in explorer. every time I launched any of my games they would crash stating data is missing. I power cycled the PC and still was unable to read from the drive. Ive only owned the drive 4 months. when I got it the drive read as 0 days used when I first plugged it in as I was expecting it to be used from other reviews so I was expecting then for it to last. My take away from this is if you buy cheep dont put to much faith in it.
