> 24 hourBronze is softer than steel, and bronze wool is softer than steel wool, with the added benefit that it does not rust. My friend uses this fine brass wool wrapped around a small round brass brush with bore cleaner to clean his shotgun barrel after going to the range. It removes the lumps of lead that build up without scratching the barrel.

> 24 hourThis stuff is great for projects around the house, and mine was removing light corrosion from some antique firearms. If you happen to be looking for this for that reason-it works great. Just use plenty of oil and be sure not to let too much grit build up on the same spot of wool.

> 24 hourThe package shows a well packed solid block of bronze wool. In actuallity the consistancy is that of cotton candy and will not last even a fraction of the amount of work to do. I expected the pads to have the consistancy of an SOS or Brillow pad. Not even close. Not a good value for the money.

> 24 hourI use these for tough spots with my gun cleaning kit. The bronze works better than steel wool and this is a fine (not medium, heavy duty) bronze. Im not sure about copper content but I always wear gloves and the solvent and this wool produces a blue/green residue. It wipes off easily. I didnt have the same problem with a product purchased at a local indpt. store.

> 24 hourThis is good quality bronze wool. It has some advantages over fine steel wool: Less inclined to splinter, more durable, and does not rust. I bought it for cleaning the inside of my 120-gallon glass turtle tank, figuring the bronze would be less inclined to scratch the glass. (Not that steel would scratch the glass, but bronze is softer in that respect.) It works very well for that task. Ive gotten about half of the inside of the tank free of algae with just one small puff of bronze wool. So I expect my supply to last a very long time unless I take on a big wood refinishing product. The pricing was strange. I was able to save money by buying multiple small packages. Buyer beware.
