> 3 dayThis oil is great for wood. Im sure youll read that in every other review here... I use this oil for my knives that will come into contact with food. My knives that I carry with me that I may use to cut sausage or peel an apple or to just open a package of something edible. Mineral oil keeps knives and axes in excellent condition and also makes them food safe. I dont need my axes to be food safe but why buy separate oils when one works for both? I have some knives that have wooden handles as well as axes with wooden handles. This oil works doubly well on those items if I should so choose to. I have a variety of items to maintain my tools but its nice to have items that do double duty. This is a great item for the price so why not try it out? Use it to maintain your wooden boards and keep your kitchen knives in working order too.

> 3 dayA cutting board can dry out and also harbor bacteria. Cleaning a cutting board and then applying cutting board oil can prolong the life of your board. It also improves the looks of the board. This product meets all the requirements needed to make your cutting board look, feel and perform at its best. Highly recommended.

Greater than one weekI love this. This was recommended to me by the company where I purchased my cutting board. This helps my board from looking dull and dry. This only lasted me for 3 months since I use it once every week. I wished there was a deal to buy a larger bulk. It’s a bit pricier but the results are nice

> 3 dayYou wont go wrong with this oil. Its perfect for new wood and old neglected wood. My wife and I used this on an 80 year old butcher block we bought at a garage sale. (We dated the butcher block by looking at the local history and when the deli that was stamped on the side of the block went out of business) The butcher block was well used and in good shape but the wood was dry. We coated the entire piece including the bottom and the legs and we used several bottles. The wook absorbed this oil quickly and it never left an oily or slimy feeling behind. It also helped to give the wood a healthy look to the oxidation. It also smoothed out the top as the grain swelled to fill the cuts in the top and the end grain expanded slightly. We use the butcher block as an end table now and we have never had an issue with water rings from glasses and we have no worry about what we set on top of the block. This oil really helps protect the wood as well as restoring the natural moisture. Pros: It helps preserve the wood and expand the grains for a smoother feel Its easily absorbed into the wood. It doesnt have a foul smell or impart any taste to foods Cons: The wood will really absorb this oil You may need a lot of it for new and untreated wood or neglected wood.

> 3 dayI think it’s a little high priced for mineral oil, but it’s competitive for Amazon. Plastic bottle was well sealed, so there was no problem with the container leaking. It’s not made in China, and that is important for any food or food grade product (IMO). It had no odor and it seemed to be very pure mineral oil. Warning: it comes out quicker than you think it will when applying! My old cutting board was badly in need of conditioning & my new bamboo cutting board looks great after applying. If you were going to oil an entire butcher block table or countertop, you will probably need a larger amount. The manufacturer offers lots of helpful, detailed information here on Amazon about using the product & how often you should oil your cutting boards. I discovered that I can use it for my cast iron cookware too! So overall I am happy with the product & the price.

> 3 dayWhat can one say about mineral oil? Besides being priced about right, it does what it says. After about 3 months it has kept my cutting boards, one bamboo 15 by 19, the other teak 11-1/2 by 13-1/2, in prime condition and looking good. Ive known many, many people who have never oiled their boards and now I understand why they eventually cracked and or fell apart. Granted they are not expensive; but why destroy a good board if you are only spending about $8 (12 0z.) to preserve them? Howard BBB012 Cutting Board Oil is enriched with Vitamin E and made from USP food-grade mineral oil in the USA. The oil is colorless, odorless, tasteless and washes from your hands easily. Very pleased to know it is not a heavily oily substance. It is light weight and soaked into my boards easily with little to no residue within minutes. I would recommend this product. . NOTE: As of October 2015, I still have the same bottle for my two wood cutting boards and still very happy with the results. It doesnt take much to oil them up.
