Review of Howard Products BBB012 Cutting Board Oil, 12 oz I like the John Boos Mystery Oil and Cream better. It seems like the Howard Products oil soaks in and evaporates. The Boos oil & cream (use the oil first and then the cream) - those products last for months before I need to re-do them. All my countertops and island have butcher block.

I love this. This was recommended to me by the company where I purchased my cutting board. This helps my board from looking dull and dry. This only lasted me for 3 months since I use it once every week. I wished there was a deal to buy a larger bulk. It’s a bit pricier but the results are nice

I didnt know cutting board oil was actually a thing until I saw this. LOL It revived one of my old cutting boards to its original condition with a couple of coats and now I also use it on my other boards and wood utensils. Im going to try it on an old end table and see how that works. Definitely recommend.

Used previously snd it is a quick easy to apply ptoduct.I have had no long terms used with any boards I used it on. Also good shelf life.. I go keep it stored out of direct light.

I’ve used this product for a few years on cutting boards primarily. A kitchen renovation involved adding a butcher block counter top and shelves made from the off-cuts. I treated those 8 pieces (about 10’ x 2’ x 2 sides, plus edges) with 4 coats. Took one bottle of this product. Even the contractors were surprised how well it came out. I do wish it explained what “mineral oil” is as it claims it’s good grade.

I got this to try on a cheap little cutting board I got from Daiso. The thing soaked up a ton of oil and has a slight sheen now. Since I got the board as a disposable little piece for herbs, I’m not going to waste anymore oil on it. I think two coats should be enough to give it some seal and prevent bacteria growth. My only quip is the sticker barcode label is smack dab right on top of the instructions. Granted the product usage is not exactly rocket science, it’s still shows a complete disregard for consumers. I can look up usage instructions online, but what if it’s someone who has issues using technology or don’t have internet access? The product is fine, which was why I didn’t deduct any stars, but it’s still an annoyance.

I have purchased this multiple times and love the product, but I was disappointed when I receive this one and it the bottle was sealed but didnt have an actual lid on it. Thankfully, I had an extra lid to use, if not it would have been a mess trying to keep it from spilling and would have been impossible to store.

Bought another “food grade” mineral oil for my boards but turned out not to be food grade at all. Just a heads up for anyone looking for a product of this type. This one I LOVED!!!
