HP External Portable Slim Design CD/DVD RW Write/Read Drive, USB, Black (F2B56AA)

I just plugged it into an HP all-in-one computer and it worked perfectly. Loved it!

Well, now Im trying to return this item since it is not what is shown at Amazon, the seller will contact someone sometime to see if I can return this fiasco, it works though, I have to try it at least, but theres no software to see the properties of this device or if it really can burn CDs, using WMP I tried to save the song of a music CD and it shuts it down every time I pressed Rip CD it probably doesnt have the capability of burning CDs as advertised, maybe the Item in the Amazon site do but no what I received, very disappointed.

I love the external dvd. It is perfect. No complaints.

Good device and good price

Item is great. Exactly what I needed. Problem is that our local Post Office is highly incompetent and shows that it was never delivered even though they did. Not sure how to clear this discrepancy off my account (not going to lie and get my money back on something I actually received). At least I got it. Theyve been known to show stuff as delivered and then bring it two days later after I thought it was stolen. Either stop using USPS or at least give us a choice who the carrier is.

So far I have transfered over 100 CDs to an MP3 player without any problems. It has worked as promised. There were less expensive brands but since I was going to be using an HP computer also I chose the same brand.

The DVD Drive works okay, but the loading tray is a bit more awkward than the slot on my previous drive.

Oh my goodness I could not be more Aggravated!!! Ive spent the past hour on the phone with HP being transferred to one automate person to another. I was assured by the HP sales team that this item would allow me to upload (or rip) music from my cds to my computer, and would also allow me to burn cds. I have an HP 360 envy and windows media player says error for every single track it tries to rip. I have poured over countless community support articles, and like I said an hour being transferred all over the place to automated hp people. The product support for this item just gives you a general hp number. It DOES NOT let you rip music....the whole reason for the purchase. So frustrated! I want to return it and then go to Best Buy, purchase their recommendation and have the sales person make it work....

Great for movies and CDs. I havent used it for anything else yet.
