Works with PC and Mac, no problems so far

It is so stupid that laptops are not made with cd/dvd drives anymore. Its just a shady tactic to try to make people spend lots of money having to pay for monthly or yearly software subscriptions, (such as MS Office). This portable external cd/dvd drive is an absolutely needed item for your laptop.

Was recognized and installed on Windows 10 computer without need of any additional drivers. Included software kit for creators.

It is very compact and lightweight. It also seems to be very fragile as it is encased in thin plastic. Someone with large hands could easily damage it. I put it though its paces. I listened to a pre-recorded CD as well as a burned music CD. Both played well. I used it to burn a CD and again, it came through with flying colors. I guess at age 69, everything appears to be made more cheaply anymore.

The DVD Drive works okay, but the loading tray is a bit more awkward than the slot on my previous drive.
