I used this product, the Improved Childproof Door Lever Lock to prevent my wife who has Alzheimers disease from walking out the front door and into/across the relatively busy street we live on and then wondering down the street and which began happening daily. I am home with her every day, but her constant walking out the front door went from never to an easy six to eight times a day, maybe more and I simply could not let it go on. This Childproof Door Lever Lock works, my wife cannot figure it out. She does not like it, but it beats the alternative of her possibly getting hit by a car and also saves the possible traumatic experience of the car driver that hit her. If you are having trouble with your Alzheimers spouse from leaving your home, I can tell you it works and has prevented my wife from leaving and wondering off for over a month now and though I get a few tantrums from her because it is installed on our door it is well worth it to me. Eliminates lots of worry and frustration. I found it very easy to install, the adhesion works great, my wife has not been able to tear it off and not for a lack of effort and for me it is easy enough to open. A little inconvenient, but she cannot figure it out which is why I bought it, and as they say, you do what you need to do.

This lock does the job!!! Makes the home safe & secure!!

Installation is as easy as a bandaid but very sturdy! Very easy to unlock with the push of the two side buttons. I was afraid granddaughter would figure out how to open it but hasn’t realized that there are hidden buttons on the side. Has definitely stopped her from going outside!!! Just don’t forget to unlock when children aren’t visiting if you need access to that door.

Works well to keep kids from being able to open the door. I just wonder what damage will be discovered once I try to remove.

My puppy learned how to open doors very early on. These locks are amazing and she can’t open doors anymore. My puppy is safe and I can breathe a sigh of relief that she won’t be getting into anything potentially dangerous.

Super useful - despite being non-human apparently my cats taught themselves how to open doors and I got tired of coming home to everything being open and mildly ransacked. Theyre easy to work and can be opened with one hand while Im completing my morning routine. I am in an apartment so being able to take them off will be important once I leave, but well see. NOTE: a friend locked themselves in the bathroom by accidentally putting the bottom lever back up before going in and closing the door. Unless you know that your doorknob doesnt move upon opening/closing make sure to keep the lever down!!
