> 3 dayThese look bulky around the door knob, but they do work well against my 80 pound dogs trying to open bedroom doors.

> 3 dayInstallation is as easy as a bandaid but very sturdy! Very easy to unlock with the push of the two side buttons. I was afraid granddaughter would figure out how to open it but hasn’t realized that there are hidden buttons on the side. Has definitely stopped her from going outside!!! Just don’t forget to unlock when children aren’t visiting if you need access to that door.

> 3 daySuper useful - despite being non-human apparently my cats taught themselves how to open doors and I got tired of coming home to everything being open and mildly ransacked. Theyre easy to work and can be opened with one hand while Im completing my morning routine. I am in an apartment so being able to take them off will be important once I leave, but well see. NOTE: a friend locked themselves in the bathroom by accidentally putting the bottom lever back up before going in and closing the door. Unless you know that your doorknob doesnt move upon opening/closing make sure to keep the lever down!!

> 3 dayWorks well to keep kids from being able to open the door. I just wonder what damage will be discovered once I try to remove.

05-06-2025This works well and installs easily, but be careful when using on interior doors. Exterior doors, the inside and outside handle generally operate independently, but on interior doors the inside handle and outside handles move in tandem. I installed this and set it in the locked position with the door open. My little one wasnt home so I didnt close the door. Later, I went to use the restroom that this lock was protecting, and even though no one was home I closed the door behind me out of habit. When I went to exit, I couldnt, and the outside handle was blocked by this device and the inside handle cant turn if the outside handle cant turn. After mulling over my options and deciding to go hulk mode on the handle, it dawned on me that my bathroom has french doors. :) So luckily in my case I just released the lock on the second floor and pulled the doors open. But if it were a single door, hulk smash indeed. My only wish for this item were if there were a second model for exterior doors that had a spring loaded auto lock option, in which the device would always return to the locked position. Reason being, we have a heavy traffic home, and people are constantly coming and going. When people leave, its easy to forget to open the door, set the lock, then exit, so the child lock stays engaged after you leave, meaning the door is often times left unlocked when people exiting forget to do this. So we have gotten into the habit of checking it throughout the day. If it had some sort of spring loaded with soft auto lock, people could exit and it could return to a locked position automatically. Obviously this would only work for exterior doors or doors in which the inside and outside handles can be operated independently and dont move in tandem.

> 3 dayAs a mom to, two young boys privacy is hard to come by. My oldest has Autism (Severe) and has learned to Jiggle the door handles all the way loose and now they won’t stay locked. This device is now my new lock. It also helps with making sure my front door is securely locked for him as well. The older he gets the more I worry about him walking out the front door one by himself one day. This device is literally the best investment I ever made.
