This product is the best! We bought these bc our Labrador learned how to open every door in the house and run rampant while we were at work, which was not safe for him. These have stopped him, and I am super grateful. They are also strong! He is an 80lb lab and stands up using his paws and weight to press the lever- these things don’t even budge (yes I watched him try from the other side of the door when he thought I had left, yes I put a camera on it all day to make sure it stayed). If you have a smart dog who loves to open doors, I wouldn’t hesitate.

We have Ragdoll cats and theyve discovered how to open any door with the flappy kind of handles. This is so perfect! Holds up to them jumping up and hanging off the handles. Finally, I feel smarter than my cat lol.

I have these on my door and they worked until a kid pulled on it during a meltdown. Then it came off the door and fell apart. It does help, but it is not a permanent solution. I work at a school, so I am not able to drill holes or anything. This would be better if the adhesive also was adjustable to accommodate different style of doors. For instant my doors have a window. Where this needs to be put there is a frame for the window. The door is metal so it is not like I can cut the frame. If the adhesive would be higher on one side than the other then this would allow it to fit better. I have to use mechanics adhesive to attach it to the door.

Sticks on with a 3M adhesive strip, so takes about 2 seconds to install. Toggling it between locked and unlocked is simple and with it requiring a button press both ways, you can prevent being locked out by little ones playing with it. Works exactly as advertised

This works well and installs easily, but be careful when using on interior doors. Exterior doors, the inside and outside handle generally operate independently, but on interior doors the inside handle and outside handles move in tandem. I installed this and set it in the locked position with the door open. My little one wasnt home so I didnt close the door. Later, I went to use the restroom that this lock was protecting, and even though no one was home I closed the door behind me out of habit. When I went to exit, I couldnt, and the outside handle was blocked by this device and the inside handle cant turn if the outside handle cant turn. After mulling over my options and deciding to go hulk mode on the handle, it dawned on me that my bathroom has french doors. :) So luckily in my case I just released the lock on the second floor and pulled the doors open. But if it were a single door, hulk smash indeed. My only wish for this item were if there were a second model for exterior doors that had a spring loaded auto lock option, in which the device would always return to the locked position. Reason being, we have a heavy traffic home, and people are constantly coming and going. When people leave, its easy to forget to open the door, set the lock, then exit, so the child lock stays engaged after you leave, meaning the door is often times left unlocked when people exiting forget to do this. So we have gotten into the habit of checking it throughout the day. If it had some sort of spring loaded with soft auto lock, people could exit and it could return to a locked position automatically. Obviously this would only work for exterior doors or doors in which the inside and outside handles can be operated independently and dont move in tandem.

I bought these as my autistic 4 year old figured out how to unlock the door and take himself on a walk. I now have them on any door that opens to the outside. The amount of relief I feel knowing I don’t have to have eyes on him 24 hours a day is invaluable. Easy for adults to unlock but difficult for the kids. As an added bonus, when we all sleep at night, I feel extra safe.

No kids in my household, but it did stop my demon fur child from sneaking into my room. It is the hardest working little plastic I have ever bought. Just buy it! You won’t regret it. Make sure you place it exactly where you want it and it may or may not rip out paint from your door…

I needed these for my lever doors and the levers on the bathtub to toddler proof. Unfortunately you have to really line these up at a specific angle for the levers in my home or my toddler can just yank the handle a little bit and bump it over the lever. There is a slight curve/contour in the lever and if not lined up exactly that that point the lever will not catch fully. On the tub as soon as the lock was lightly placed, it stuck and was not able to be removed. I havent tried to fully remove it as I had no extra adhesive. So it helps a good deal but she can still get a trickle of the hot water and if she pulls hard can get the cold water lever to move fully. The door levers she hangs on and can get past the lock. Still the best option I found for the bathtub.

My puppy learned how to open doors very early on. These locks are amazing and she can’t open doors anymore. My puppy is safe and I can breathe a sigh of relief that she won’t be getting into anything potentially dangerous.
