My grandson learned how to open my doors and was constantly hiding in rooms and scaring me that he escaped from my house. He is a quick little guy! He now can’t open the doors to hide and his brother can’t play with the handle making it loose. I’m very satisfied with the product!!

This was used at the grandparents house while visiting for a week. Adhesion: I misplaced it initially and was able to quickly pull it up again (no paint came off the door) and re-stuck it. In those first few minute after sticking it was easy to remove, but without a few hours/a day it was fast stuck. I used these to keep my older child from opening the bathroom door (I kept it on the outside of the bathroom door), to stop children from getting inside (infants/toddlers are top heavy and can drown in toilet bowl - true story). I also kept one upstairs in the room my family and I were staying in so that when I put the kids down to sleep I could lock it from the outside knowing no one could fall down the stairs if they opened the door. Children can’t lock it from the outside... but... one morning as I was cleaning the room and my husband took the kids down he automatically locked the lock and I was stuck. Big house, so no one could hear my knocking. Thankfully I remembered I could use my phone and I was rescued, but that was a little stressful. So if you have older kids who can accidentally lock you in then this might not be the right fit. Otherwise no complaints and it did its job perfectly.

It’s not as smooth as I would like in its operation. Double edged sword as it makes sure the child can’t open it, but it’s also tough for the adults to do it!

These are perfect to keep little ones out of any rooms with lever handles. Theyre so easy to install and use. Theyre a lifesaver.

This works well and installs easily, but be careful when using on interior doors. Exterior doors, the inside and outside handle generally operate independently, but on interior doors the inside handle and outside handles move in tandem. I installed this and set it in the locked position with the door open. My little one wasnt home so I didnt close the door. Later, I went to use the restroom that this lock was protecting, and even though no one was home I closed the door behind me out of habit. When I went to exit, I couldnt, and the outside handle was blocked by this device and the inside handle cant turn if the outside handle cant turn. After mulling over my options and deciding to go hulk mode on the handle, it dawned on me that my bathroom has french doors. :) So luckily in my case I just released the lock on the second floor and pulled the doors open. But if it were a single door, hulk smash indeed. My only wish for this item were if there were a second model for exterior doors that had a spring loaded auto lock option, in which the device would always return to the locked position. Reason being, we have a heavy traffic home, and people are constantly coming and going. When people leave, its easy to forget to open the door, set the lock, then exit, so the child lock stays engaged after you leave, meaning the door is often times left unlocked when people exiting forget to do this. So we have gotten into the habit of checking it throughout the day. If it had some sort of spring loaded with soft auto lock, people could exit and it could return to a locked position automatically. Obviously this would only work for exterior doors or doors in which the inside and outside handles can be operated independently and dont move in tandem.

I bought these as my autistic 4 year old figured out how to unlock the door and take himself on a walk. I now have them on any door that opens to the outside. The amount of relief I feel knowing I don’t have to have eyes on him 24 hours a day is invaluable. Easy for adults to unlock but difficult for the kids. As an added bonus, when we all sleep at night, I feel extra safe.

This are pretty good but the only issue I had is that the sticker wore off fast so I have to replace it

My little 2 yo kept coming out of her room and terrorizing her big brother every morning. We decided to get one of these to at least keep her a bit contained and allow our son to get enough rest (so he doesnt get crabby). Its very easy to install, and it is very effective. My little 2yo is STRONG and has not broken this off by pulling on the doorhandle (been about 3 months now). The only thing I would be worried about is accidentally locking myself in the room. I havent done it yet, thank goodness, but Im sure Id feel stupid af if I do.
