> 3 dayThis is a 3 pack. I’m using 2, and I gave the 3rd one to my daughter. My granddaughter ripped it off their door! I’m assuming it’s just that one, since mine are still on strong with no problem. I’ve contacted Amazon 3 different times. Finally I got a response telling me I can’t return the item because it’s over 30 days. I asked Amazon to help me contact the company since 1 of the 3 locks is defective, and since this is a 3 pack, I would like it replaced. Only the defective one

> 3 dayI used this product, the Improved Childproof Door Lever Lock to prevent my wife who has Alzheimers disease from walking out the front door and into/across the relatively busy street we live on and then wondering down the street and which began happening daily. I am home with her every day, but her constant walking out the front door went from never to an easy six to eight times a day, maybe more and I simply could not let it go on. This Childproof Door Lever Lock works, my wife cannot figure it out. She does not like it, but it beats the alternative of her possibly getting hit by a car and also saves the possible traumatic experience of the car driver that hit her. If you are having trouble with your Alzheimers spouse from leaving your home, I can tell you it works and has prevented my wife from leaving and wondering off for over a month now and though I get a few tantrums from her because it is installed on our door it is well worth it to me. Eliminates lots of worry and frustration. I found it very easy to install, the adhesion works great, my wife has not been able to tear it off and not for a lack of effort and for me it is easy enough to open. A little inconvenient, but she cannot figure it out which is why I bought it, and as they say, you do what you need to do.

> 3 dayNice but didn’t work for our straighter door handles. We have a very smart cat that has figured out how to pull the handles down and she lets herself into any room she pleases.

> 3 dayInstalled these on three critical doors and now we have peace of mind until she figures out the system. Our granddaughter is a handful. They work as advertised, just dont know what the door will look like after removing them.

> 3 dayThis works well and installs easily, but be careful when using on interior doors. Exterior doors, the inside and outside handle generally operate independently, but on interior doors the inside handle and outside handles move in tandem. I installed this and set it in the locked position with the door open. My little one wasnt home so I didnt close the door. Later, I went to use the restroom that this lock was protecting, and even though no one was home I closed the door behind me out of habit. When I went to exit, I couldnt, and the outside handle was blocked by this device and the inside handle cant turn if the outside handle cant turn. After mulling over my options and deciding to go hulk mode on the handle, it dawned on me that my bathroom has french doors. :) So luckily in my case I just released the lock on the second floor and pulled the doors open. But if it were a single door, hulk smash indeed. My only wish for this item were if there were a second model for exterior doors that had a spring loaded auto lock option, in which the device would always return to the locked position. Reason being, we have a heavy traffic home, and people are constantly coming and going. When people leave, its easy to forget to open the door, set the lock, then exit, so the child lock stays engaged after you leave, meaning the door is often times left unlocked when people exiting forget to do this. So we have gotten into the habit of checking it throughout the day. If it had some sort of spring loaded with soft auto lock, people could exit and it could return to a locked position automatically. Obviously this would only work for exterior doors or doors in which the inside and outside handles can be operated independently and dont move in tandem.
