01-06-2025its amazing how much quieter these guns are compared to there normal counter parts i had a mac aw5500 which is basically the same gun and it worked great only had to replace the anvil once and the trigger over almost 7 years of everyday use as a mechanic i only bought this because i felt it was getting weak so i will be rebuilding the other gun for home use but when you first use this gun it sounds really weak but i took a rusted on axle nut off in about 5 seconds very impressed with the gun and how quiet it is i will be buying quiet tools from now on also make sure to get the boot i didnt get the boot for my 3/8ths gun and the case started to crack after about 7 years of being dropped

> 3 dayMy son and I work in my shop a lot. We work on everything from 1 ton trucks to lawn mowers. This makes my 3rd air impact wrench and I can tell immediately it is well built and will be perfect to withstand our medium/heavy use. Very well made, outstanding torque, light weight.

> 3 dayI am a mechanic at a busy shop. Impact has loads of torque and haven’t ran into a nut or bolt I couldn’t crack. Highly recommend

> 3 day6 Stars!!! I. Love. This. Gun!!! Every time I use it, I get big smile on my face and a metaphorical boner. What a great replacement to my old 2135ti of 13 years. Definitely turn it down to 3, or even 2 though when putting on lug nuts or anything you may be worried about breaking or stripping because you will if youre not careful....

> 3 dayIll start with everything I like. First of all its considerably lighter than an all-metal impact like the IR 231 C. And yet, its still very durable. I have dropped mine from 5 feet many times, and other than a few scratches, everything still fits together tight, including the plastic buttons and knob on the back. Its definitely powerful too as everyone else has mentioned. And while the unmuffled version is slightly louder than your average impact, its certainly not excessive. In addition, the trigger control is quite good. It isnt a light switch like my old Aircat, which is useful when trying to run fasteners down more gingerly. The direction change buttons are intuitive and very solid for being plastic. The knob on the back is also handy for throttling back the power in lower-torque applications. It has solid detents that prevents unintentional changes to the power level. However, this tool is not without some serious ergonomic issues. When in reverse, the left direction change button will dig into my hand at the base of my thumb when pulling the trigger. This has caused a very noticeable blister and significant discomfort, mainly when using a torque stick. Further, the plastic body, while making it lighter, has thrown off the balance considerably. With no sockets mounted at all, it does feel noticeably front-heavy, as the hammers and metal housing are sitting way at the front of the tool. Worse still, with a deep socket or torque stick mounted on the front, its very unbalanced, and uncomfortable to hold for even short durations. When youre working in a shop all day long, wielding this front-heavy, blister-creating beast will get old real fast. The job is hard enough on your body as it is. If you have the opportunity, I recommend trying this gun before you buy it. Perhaps you wont experience the same issues I had. And while I got mine for an excellent price, it still isnt worth the extra strain on my wrist. Ill be looking for a better-balanced replacement in the future and relegating my 2235ti to occasional home use, serving as a back-up.
