No real complaints, some of the abbreviations in the LED display could be clearer, I have to look up till I memorize but otherwise does the job. I have to say the sensor is very responsive, as soon as I open the door to the terrarium it immediately sense is a change in humidity and activates the humidifier connected to it

This is a simple On/Off controller with adjustable hysteresis. Accurate readings and control require a minimum amount of air moving across the sensor. The Relative Humidity will always fluctuate around the set point with this type of controller ( Or any controller). With some tweaking of this controllers settings and the output level of the humidifier. I can get +- %5 RH. Good enough for most mushroom cultivation fruiting tents. It is a good value compared to a $200 PID controller that cannot do much better.

Added this for my grow tent, easy to use and really helped control my humidity by automatically toggling my humidifier and dehumidifier. As someone mentioned make sure your units have a toggle switch not push button power or they device will not turn on when power is switched onto it. For the price its hard to beat, it was 3% off from my goove humidity monitor but you can adjust the calibration on the controller so it matches exactly what my other monitor says. Not sure which is correct but 3% isnt a deal breaker, the important this is you can adjust the controller to match any other humidity monitors you might already own.

This device works very well for my purpose of controlling a dessicant dehumidifier. I use this dehumidifier in a large box I built to dry the soundboards for the harps I make. Previous to purchasing this controller I used a humidity/temperature controller that one would attach to a wall in your home or office. This previous controller was awful at gauging the relative humidity in the box or a small room. It required that I constantly keep checking its measured RH to that of a separate, small humidity/temperature measuring device that seems to work very well and can be checked and adjusted fairly easily. This new humidity controller is designed very smartly and its measurements of RH seem to correspond very closely with the small measuring device, unlike the previous controller I used. Also very nice is the fact that I can now have this controller OUTSIDE of the box with the soundboard and dessicant dehumidifier. It has a short cable with an AC receptacle that the dehumidifier can be plugged into, but the actual humidity measuring device is attached to the controller via a fairly long cable. I have the humidity measuring device inside the box, and the AC cord for the dessicant dehumidifier comes out of the box to be plugged into the short cable off of this humidity controller. So I can easily check the RH inside the box without having to open up the box (and thereby raise the RH level). And you can adjust the controller to automatically turn on when the RH reaches 1% to 5% above the desired RH level set on the controller. The only thing I do not like about this device is the god AWFUL english instructions! Can the people at the company in China who make this controller please hire someone who can write clear understandable english, PLEASE!! You will eventually make sense of their nearly non-sensical instructions, but it does take awhile. Just so you know, their differential RH level means how far above the target RH the actual RH will get before the device turns on. You can set this differential RH level for 1% to 5% over the target RH level.

I love my humidity controller. It works perfectly for maintaining the perfect humidity in my terrarium. I’ve tested it against other Hygrometers, and it’s pretty accurate, plus you can tune it. Recently used it to run a room humidifier, to increase the humidity in the bedroom at night. The possibilities are endless! I wish it had some smart integration, I would like to see a historical graph over time. Also, disabling the Alarm for high or low Humidity would be nice as well.

I use it to maintain humidity levels at 95% in a mushroom fruiting tent. Its a game changer. Previously I had used a number of humidity meters made by other companies. All of them malfunctioned at high humidity levels. The inkbird maintained 95% levels well. I realized that that could be done without condensation in the tent.

We purchased 1 initially to control the humidity in a 5x5 grow tent that was consentally either at >98% or <20% no matter how we ran our humidifier, fans, and exhaust fan. Received the controller and immediately set it up. We live in a very dry climate and have no need to use a dehumidifier in this particular tent. Set work 1 (again not using work 2) to 58% with an 8% range. And just like magic we had 48 hours of perfect humidity. Decided to buy 2 more for our flower tent and drying tent. Set them up and calibrated 1 because it was a little off. Almost immediately started having problems with our drying tent. Couldnt get it keep the humidity above 25% (even the unit itself was showing low) when the humidifier was plugged into the controller, but if we run the humidifier directly into an outlet it would climb up approximately. The flowering tent isnt holding the settings/% we program. It goes right back to default of 50% with a 5% range. Luckily its default is close to what we need, but we shouldnt have to be forced to keep it that way. It completely defeats the purpose of having this all together. Now, on day 5 we wake up to or our original controller in our vegetative tent not functioning and running to humidifier all the time. It was 99% in there, even though the controller is still show our 58% with 8% range. I tried changing it down to 50% and 5% and the unit goes right back to showing 58% and 8%. So, now we have 3 controllers and not a single 1 is working as it should. I am going to replace these 3 as defective and try again with their replacements but I dont have much hope that they will do what theyre supposed to do. Will probably end up with 0/6 and will update after the replacements get here and are set up.

Not the most obvious way to make settings, but once you get it, it makes sense. Works as advertised so far (I have 2 of these on different humidors and both work fine). Readings match separate humidity sensors closely.
