> 3 dayYou can make it work as long as you want to maintain a very narrow humidity range. For instance, when the humidity is maintained at 50% +/- 5%, you can get the device to read fairly accurately by using the calibration function and adjusting for the difference between actual humidity and the humidity that the probe detects. But when you want to maintain a humidity of 65% +/- 5%, you have to go through the calibration process again because the probe is not linier. It is way off. I will contact the company and update this review later. Ive had this device for about a week now and I contacted Amazon for assistance. A day later I received an email from the manufacturer asking for details about the lack of accuracy and linearity. They gave me instructions that allowed me to clear the internal settings and then reload the settings, by pressing the buttons in a special sequence while unplugging the device. It worked wonders and the device is working fine. Great support from the manufacturer and Amazon.

> 3 dayThis device functions well, but I use it to sense humidity in a terrarium and pump in a humidifier when it dips too low. The plants I grow love high humidity, so its not an issue if the humidity reaches 100%. Unfortunately the device has a panic attack when this happens, and will sound an alarm any time it gets that high. (The minimum setting for the alarm maxes out at 100%, with no option to have it off). There is no way to tell this device not to sound the alarm, and its annoying as hell to have this thing occasionally go off after misting the tank.

Greater than one weekDoes not work the best to measure humidity unless calibrated somewhat often & for sure not as user-friendly as advertised. It helps to watch youtube videos and third-party materials to figure out usage.

> 3 dayUpdate: a couple days later and now it just beeps and says err and wont take any readings Out of box my unit is reading 75-85 humidity in my house. Tried a table salt calibration test and it was reading 86-90 (should be 75). Seems like it is atleast 15-20 percent off and fluctuates pretty wildy. Calibration only compensates up to 10 percent +/-. Looks like the actual sensor has a plug connector so it should be easy to be replace but I havnt been able to pry open the plastic casing that protects it. Contacted the amazon product support and they didnt understand the issue but offered to help me return it.

> 3 dayDespite the odd brand name and surprisingly low price, this thing is excellent. If youre not a techie you might find the settings menu bewildering. I have HVAC background so cryptic menus like this are old hat. Accurate remote humidity sensor. Makes a slight but noticeable whine like in its power supply. Power cord is pretty thin so its a bit worrisome plugging in a high-current device.

> 3 dayI have an air quality sensor board and two weather stations in addition to this humidistat. Even with all of them together in the same place, they disagree with each other by as much as 25%. Im not sure why the error is so high, but Im probably going to go the manual route that we used to use in earth science class to figure out who is telling the truth. In the short term, I put a 12% correction on it to help even out the readings. Beyond that, this does seem to work very well. I will update the review once I figure out the accuracy issue.

> 3 dayI keep an acoustic instrument room humidified with an industrial humidifier plumbed in. This was an excellent solution to having the fan in the humidifier run all the time. Great product ! Wish you could run another appliance off of it at the same time

> 3 dayThis works like a charm, a little difficult to figure out at first but rereading the instructions helps!

Greater than one weekAs stated is decent, need to calibrate initially, do not rely on it being remotely close. And check calibration every couple months as it does drift out of calibration.
