Greater than one weekThis is a simple On/Off controller with adjustable hysteresis. Accurate readings and control require a minimum amount of air moving across the sensor. The Relative Humidity will always fluctuate around the set point with this type of controller ( Or any controller). With some tweaking of this controllers settings and the output level of the humidifier. I can get +- %5 RH. Good enough for most mushroom cultivation fruiting tents. It is a good value compared to a $200 PID controller that cannot do much better.

> 3 dayI have bought several IHC-200 controllers for use in a greenhouse. They work well, except one had a problem with the display. I contacted customer service, got a response within 24 hours asking for a video to demonstrate the problem. I sent the video and the next day they said they would ship a replacement. The true test of a company is how they respond when something goes wrong, and Im satisfied with their response in my case.

> 3 dayI use this to control the humidifier in my grow tent. It works perfectly for that application. You just need to make sure the sensor (hygrometer) is in the right spot. (and theres water in the humidifier, of course)

Greater than one weekUpdate: I had some problems with the sensor accuracy. Inkbird sent out a new sensor, which was an easy switch out and the customer service was EXCELLENT! THANK YOU Cassie!!! So most of the negative reviews complain about the alarm. I bought this for mycology which requires high humidity levels. The alarm was driving me nuts until I simply moved the sensor higher up near the top of the fruiting chamber. I also calibrated the the sensor on the humidifier down by a few degrees. Its been good since moving the sensor. It has been very challenging trying to dial in humidity levels but that isnt the fault of Inkbird. In fact, this humidistat made it possible.

> 3 dayFor the price, you can’t beat this. My only gripe is how slow the probe is to detect a change in humidity. I use this in a 5x5x6 tent, and the probe is so slow that my small humidifier overshoots every single time by 10 or more percent. For such a large area, my humidifier is not fast to get it to the correct RH. Not a big deal for my use, just something to think about if you have strict RH requirements. I do love the variety of settings and all of the control built in even if I only use one setting :) I gave it four stars just because the accuracy doesn’t seem to be the best, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another if I needed to.

> 3 dayI bought this and a humidifier to upgrade my oyster mushroom growing setup. Compared to spritzing with a spray bottle throughout the day, this is luxury. I calibrated the sensor, along with a seperate hygrometer that records data logs, and everything seems to maintain humidity accurately. I kind of wish the alarm was louder. My setup is in the basement, so the alarm is probably fine for other situations. Other than the alarm volume, I have nothing but praise for the device. It does what I need, its not expensive, simple setup... I would definitely buy another Inkbird product.

Greater than one weekBought this to keep my plant cabinet a stable humidity. However, and this may be common sense to some but not to me lol, make sure your humidifier/dehumidifier does not need to be manually turned on (like a button pushed) because it’ll turn off but it won’t turn back on when it needs to. Knob humidifiers should work with it a-ok
