> 3 dayThe product, instant ocean, is great. I use it in my live shrimp tank. I sometimes keep over 1000 shrimp, and the instant ocean does the trick. My problem is I mistakenly ordered it from Amazon on there recurring delivery. This means you get the product every month. I decided to cancel this order after 3 months. The cancel option only cancels for one month, and then you start getting the product again. Amazon, how do I cancel recurring delivery?!?!

> 3 dayWith the Red Tide threat in the Gulf Coast of Florida this is the perfect substitute for my salt water aquarium. I have never had a problem.

> 3 dayGreat for fish only tanks. May be obvious to some but I learned the hard way that this salt doesn’t have nearly enough calcium or magnesium for a reef tank or to sustain coralline algae. Switch to reef crystals :)

> 3 dayI used it to clean my piercings. I had a bump on my nose. I mixed the salt with water (paste texture) and applied it to my piercings overnight. After using it for 2 days my nose bump completely disappeared. Anyone who has a nose piercing knows those pesky bumps take months to go away. Definitely would recommend this for anyone who has piercings.

> 3 dayI specifically bought this to use for hatching baby brine shrimps and my bbs have been hatching very well and consistently. I’m sure half of it has to do with the bbs eggs I’m using also, but the hatch rate has been 10x better than my past experience when I was using freshwater aquarium salt. This almost will last me an extremely long time!

> 3 dayIts not just for my fish tank. Its NOT marketed as food grade. Instant Ocean Sea Salt MSDS reads nearly identical to Morton Sea Salt MSDS. Instant Ocean taste better and cost less. Cons; no anti-clumping chemicals (also a Pro - no chemicals) so it hardens on wet days - I put dry rice in my shaker.

02-04-2025So far so good pertaining the packaging and looks of the salt (it came out very fine like sugar and not clumpy from within the bag) . I have used this salt before with good results before switching to RSCP and have come to give it another chance because RSCP is too expensive! From what I have read, theres not much difference between this salt and more expensive ones. I will begin using one of the 50 gallon bags tomorrow, and the opened bag will been placed in a 5G bucket that I have left from my other salt. My salinity came out at about 1.027ppm (which is just a little more than I want) with two cups of salt and 4G of water. I will come back here to talk about how much calcium theres in the new salt and how my SPS and other corals react after a few months. I do dose KM nanoreef part A and B twice a week to keep my calcium from depleting because I have some big SPS colonies.
