Instant Ocean Sea Salt (10 gal)

> 3 dayThis salt mix has been around since the beginning of time. It is affordable, mixes up easily and quickly with no reside in the container, and it is consistent. I have used this in fish only systems along with reef setups. It works equally well with both. If you have a soft coral or LPS tank there is really no need to be using more expensive salt mixes. Unless you have a lot of LPS and SPS corals, at which point it does not matter what salt mix you buy because you will be dosing daily or weekly anyway. The best deal is the 200 gallon box when it is on sale for $40, and if you have prime it ships for free. How much better can a deal get?

31-03-202510/10 I use it for my hermits salt water I just put a pinch in there when I refill it and it’s good to go!!! My hermit uses the water and has for a couple months and is perfectly fine so much cheaper than crab solution!!!

> 3 dayIs it the best salt out there, no. Is it the best salt out there in this price range, heck yes. I have used instant ocean sea salt since 2010 and it has not let me down. Always mix your salt water separate from your tank test it before you do a water change. It’s that easy. This product will deliver the right salt and mineral quantities every time.

> 3 dayAlternatives like even instant oceanss Reef Crystals, dont work as well and raise values like calcium and alkalinity beyond what you would really want. In cases like this, plain is better. Stick to standard Instant Ocean if you want best effect for your reef/saltwater aquarium.

> 3 dayThe salt dissolved quickly as stated on the box. The reason I did not give five stars is the box was already open and the top was ripped open with part of the top not even all there. The salt is five stars, but I deducted one star which in my view is Amazons bad for shipping a box that was probably a return. fortunately, the salt was still sealed in the plastic bag that contained the salt.

> 3 dayGreat for fish only tanks. May be obvious to some but I learned the hard way that this salt doesn’t have nearly enough calcium or magnesium for a reef tank or to sustain coralline algae. Switch to reef crystals :)

> 3 dayI do water changes, 4 gallons a week. For some reason, its never on par with the directions. I have to do 2 1/2 cups to get it to 1.025. But Ive been using Instant Ocean for years and never had salinity shock.

> 3 dayThis stuff mixes so easily. And devolves fast. I recomend it for beginners and experts. The salinity levels are easy and accurate. Adjusting the levels are easy too.
