> 3 dayI need a new PC mainly to process photos. I was considering AMD Ryzen 7 5800X when I read the benchmark for Intels 12th generation CPUs are better than the 5800X running Adobe software. But it has a bad reputation for hogging power. The attached screen shot shows that power consumption slightly exceed the TDP of 125W during Lightroom batch export. But to my surprise, once the export is finished, power consumption is very low, even less than my AMD 4800H based laptop. Background processing uses the more efficient E-cores.

16-11-2024Works as expected. Great price-performance from this chip, huge upgrade from my Ryzen 2700x.

> 3 dayUpgraded from an i5-7500. Have been considering whether should go for AMD or Intel for this upgrade and finally decided to give an Intel a try after reading the positive reviews of the Alder Lake.

> 3 dayEste procesador tiene unas capacidades brutales en gaming y multinucleo, es muy estable... pero en overclock puede llegar has los 312Watts preparate una fuente que soporte.

> 3 dayI am not a power user… Games, some technical work and finances. This is the perfect cpu for most users.

> 3 dayI can’t believe how insanely fast this processor is. I paired this with a TUF Z690/noctua and couldn’t be happier!

21-11-2024I upgraded from an i7-4770 DDR3 and built a 12700k DDR5 PC and this thing flies. A mild overclock and xmp profile has programs opening instantaneously, and installs are super fast. No real workloads or gaming has been done yet, but I wanted the best, but didnt want to pay 12900k prices, and for gaming the I7 preforms only 1-2% slower according to most reviewers, so I will not be missing that tiny bit of performance.

> 3 dayIf you are using this hard, get a large cooler, it has many cores and they can generate heat. That done, it is great.
