Intel obviously isnt a slouch when it comes to processors. However, this one really hits the sweet spot between performance and price. Well see what happens when AMD releases the Ryzen 7000 series later this year, but if you dont want to wait, generally prefer Intel, and dont want to spring for an i9, this processor will absolutely take what you can throw at it.

Great CPU so far. Only limiting this CPU at the moment is the early versions of Z690 motherboard software that might not be overclocking at optimal levels (using auto overclock). Make sure you have a good CPU cooler or a cooler designed for the LGA 1700. Currently the Gigabyte settings for overclocking (bios or windows app) is pushing the CPU above spec and will cause throttling. I am using a Corsair H150i Elite CAPELLIX 360mm.

Not much I can really say about this other than Intel speaks for itself and I have no complaints. Great for gaming.

Sold my i9-9900k after using it for a few years and back in Sept. went with Ryzen 9 5900X and MSI B550 Unify X great combo but under water my temps were a bit too high for my standards even with pbo /negative offset settings I wasn’t happy with the temps. This Alder Lake CPU is running at 22c on Idle and 52c to 56 under full load “Gaming at 1440p under an EK D5 pump reservoir . All I can say this thing is faster than my i9-9900K and faster and cooler than my previous AMD Ryzen builds .

Just avoid this cpu all together unless youre a fanboy or stuck on anything older than 4th gen. Both i5 and i7 here on a rtx 3080. Gaming is pointless on this cpu and its just a fact. In 1440p and 4k u gain absolutely nothing over my old 10700k. Except for horrible Temps. This will average Temps at least 10c higher then previous Intel or my ryzen 5900x. And worst part is Intels unnecessary change in cpu cooler layout. U will spend weeks finding a cooler or trying to get manufacturer to send u a bracket to update existing cooler. Literally had to return my first one I purchased from best buy because I couldnt even find a cooler within the 15 day return policy and didnt want stuck with a DOA product. And the fact AMD is already releasing ryzen 3d which surpasses this by 20% it makes this jump to Intel again pointless. Because we all know Intel will change socket and layout again leaving us stranded again with no cooling options. Worse part. Not even a cooler in box to test cpu with. Had to buy a hideous noctua as it was only thing I could get my hands on that fit

the cpu seem fine ( no noticeable damage ) but for me that unboxing look very sketchy and low quality for a 600$CAD product

Funciona a la perfección, los programas que eran pesados ejecutan de manera fluida lo mejor es que llegó en los tiempos indicados.

Idles in the 20s. Does require a beefy cooler, Im using a Noctua D15S. I did have a U14S on it idling in the low 30s, but the fan was revved up by default to a level I didnt enjoy. Make sure you need this much power. If youre just gaming get a 12400 instead. This processor trades blows with the amd 5900x. Performance and stability are excellent. I have five nvme m.2 drives on it right now (four on motherboard and another in a card). Everything is lightning fast. Be aware the drivers will NOT work with the older versions of Win10, and you will need to make a newer version of Win10 from microsofts own site. Aside from that minor inconvenience, everything works well.

Insane cpu normally pushing 5100MHz has even gone up to 5500MHz.
