> 3 dayFirst, the scissors are beyond compare. They are comfortable in the hand, well-balanced, perfectly sharp from base to tip. They cut through fabric as if cutting through butter. They give one confidence because of their superb control and balance. By far the best shears I have ever used in 40 years of sewing. I will never go back to any other brand. Second, Kai Scissors has wonderful customer service. I accidentally placed an order for the 10 shears, and when I discovered my mistake, Kai immediately shipped me an 8 pair, which is what I actually needed. They are courteous, prompt, cheerful and accurate. Thank you, Kai, for making these extraordinary shears and for your great CS. A Note: Im a woman, with pretty average-sized hands. I recommend the 8 shears for women. I have no relationship to Kai Scissors -- just a happy customer. This is a real review; Im not paid by Kai to say these things!

> 3 dayWhen it comes to sharp high quality steel tools the Japanese know what theyre doing. These things are so sharp its hard to use them as a make shift blade for opening boxes (which I shouldnt be doing anyway). Makes easy work of every paper or fabric Ive cut with it and still as sharp as new a few months after purchase.

> 3 dayI was going for a handmade pair of shears from England but they are unavailable thanks to Covid. I got these instead for about half the price and so far so good. They are the tiniest bit long for me, but they are excellent in terms of balance and ease of use, I have sore arthritic hands and I am happy with these. They are micro serrated, so I hope I can get them sharpened when the time comes, I am not a fan of throwing out perfectly useful things. Time will tell.

> 3 dayI sew professionally and these are the only scissors I use. So much smoother and easier to use for hours than other brands, even the ubiquitous ones. Make the switch, you wont be sorry!

> 3 dayWanted to upgrade my shears from Gingher but VERY disappointed with the quality of these. The molded handles were unpleasantly rough had a sharp mold ridge and the end of the finger holes that dug in. This defect was not unique to this partucular pair as I also tried the 7230 model and they had the same handle issue. Also, the molded part was not even trimmed up properly and had sharp pieces hanging off of it. The metal edges around the outside of the finger holes were so sharp that if you bumped them or ran your hand along them, they would cut you. I have really small hands (size XS in gloves) but had to size up to this pair (the 7230s were too small for my hand in spite of being for smaller hands). I dont know how a person With larger hands could use these, and the blades are only about 3/8 to 1/2 longer than my 8 Ginghers. I tested cutting ability and ease of use on various fabrics - these are no sharper than my 10 year old 8 Ginger dressmaker shears. Definitely not worth the money - seems like just a lot of hype around these. They were returned ASAP.

> 3 dayTake a t-shirt, fold it into thirds and take one of those layers and fold it back so that you have a total of 8 layers. This is what I do when I create strips from old shirts to make a rag rug. This pair of scissors cuts through it as though it were a single layer of fabric. Smooth, no catches, no strain. The cloth might as well be butter, it slices through it so easily. I love these scissors. Everyone that Ive had try them is amazed at the difference. My daughter got a left hand pair, my niece ordered a set, and my sister intends to get them. Hands down the best scissors Ive ever used and Ive been crafting for a very long time. If something were to happen to this pair, I would immediately order another to replace them - no question.

Greater than one weekMy wife is a seamstress and makes memory bears but never really thinks about the tools she uses. As I watched her struggle with cutting and sore fingers I decided to do some research. Every sewing forum and blog always came back to Kai as the number one pair of shears. The 7250’s arrived before Christmas and I couldn’t wait to give them to her. It’s hard to describe just how amazing these scissors are to use. They literally cut through multiple layers without any effort. For fun we went through 16 layers and it was just as easy as a single layer. The pain she was having in her fingers is gone and she couldn’t be more happy. Nice to see something work better than we could have ever expected. Bravo!

> 3 dayI now own the 10, 6, and 4 Kais in the 7000 series. Im not sure you can find a finer scissor anywhere. All sizes are perfectly balanced.
