> 3 dayThese scissors are AMAZING!!! Im a professional upholstery seamstress so I use scissors all day long and have to cut through some very thick fabric. For the past 10 years Ive used nothing but Wiss or Mundial Stainless Steel Shears until a local sewing supplier recommended these Carbon Steel shears to me. He let me sample the 2 scissors next to each other and it was a day and night difference, truly! While both scissors can cut through thick leather or denim with some ease, these scissors made cutting through them absolutely effortless, like cutting through butter. While the other scissors took a little extra effort. As far as the design of these scissors I love how light they feel along with the handle design. When using the other scissors my fingers used to hurt after a days worth of cutting because of the constant rubbing/holding of the hard metal handle against them but not with these scissors. They are so easy to use and not hard on the hands like the other scissors. Ill never buy anything else again as these are truly amazing scissors. Also, just as a side note: I purchased the 10 shears which work good but they are a 1/2 shorter in the cutting area compared to the 10 Mundial sheers. So if youre changing from Weiss or Mundial to these sheers then Id recommend getting the 11 as I notice the 1/2 shorter difference when cutting. I will definitely be buying more and would highly recommend them!

My mother-in-law is an avid seamstress and when I let her try them, her eyes got big and she said oooooo. She wants a pair now.

> 3 daySome superior products seems to be hiding in plane sight, this is one of them. I can vouch its soo much easy on your hands as compared to my expensive Gingher. The edge is ground on a steep angle as compared to regular shears, meaning it can cut your fingers just by touching the edges. And yes it can cut multiple layers of cloths, leather with sure ease. This is among one of those rare products which, after using you tend to not go back to any other brands. Good work, Kai!

> 3 dayTake a t-shirt, fold it into thirds and take one of those layers and fold it back so that you have a total of 8 layers. This is what I do when I create strips from old shirts to make a rag rug. This pair of scissors cuts through it as though it were a single layer of fabric. Smooth, no catches, no strain. The cloth might as well be butter, it slices through it so easily. I love these scissors. Everyone that Ive had try them is amazed at the difference. My daughter got a left hand pair, my niece ordered a set, and my sister intends to get them. Hands down the best scissors Ive ever used and Ive been crafting for a very long time. If something were to happen to this pair, I would immediately order another to replace them - no question.

> 3 dayMy mother loves these shears, as she has been sewing for over 50 years. She said they slice through denim and heavy fabrics with ease, and if you are not careful, you can ruin you items because they cut so flawlessly and easily. She balked at the price when I told her the cost, but agrees you get good quality when you pay for it. She would recommend these to anyone, and Im glad I got these for a Christmas gift.

> 3 dayBought these scissors because I am going to reupholster our boat seats, and thought I could use a good pair of shears to cut my vinyl up. I did a Google search on the best shears, and Kai came up first. I know Japanese knives are the best, and it rings true for these also. These shears are fantastic! They are so smooth, and sharp, and cut thru the vinyl like it is soft butter. Do not hesitate to purchase these, you will not regret it. Very pleased with Kai brand. Since I received these, I have also purchased some Kai thread snips and they are also wonderful.

> 3 dayMy wife is a seamstress and makes memory bears but never really thinks about the tools she uses. As I watched her struggle with cutting and sore fingers I decided to do some research. Every sewing forum and blog always came back to Kai as the number one pair of shears. The 7250’s arrived before Christmas and I couldn’t wait to give them to her. It’s hard to describe just how amazing these scissors are to use. They literally cut through multiple layers without any effort. For fun we went through 16 layers and it was just as easy as a single layer. The pain she was having in her fingers is gone and she couldn’t be more happy. Nice to see something work better than we could have ever expected. Bravo!

19-11-2024Best dressmaking scissors Ive ever had, other than the first pair of 8 Kais I bought a couple of years ago. Being a little larger, these allow for easier large cuts. As for the handle size being too large for some reviewers, I didnt find this to be the case. The handle is larger than on the 8 shears, but they really have to be to maintain a good balance. Love, love, love Kai!
