Greater than one weekSo, I have purchased three of these since I misplaced two of them through the course of moving states and generally getting out with my kids. This is a fabulous product (hence the repurchase). This travel potty has fit any seat in any bathroom that Ive taken my kids into. It works with boys and girls and has no forward and backwards so you dont have to worry about orientation, really. The sides either fold out to be used on a toilet and act as handles for the kiddos or they stand and click in place so the seat can be used as a stand alone potty. Its easy to fold out and is very stable on the toilets Ive used so that the kids dont slide around. That is very important for the kids to be comfortable enough to go in a strange bathroom. I cant tell you the number of times Ive used this in a parking lot, park, or by the side of the road on a road trip. The handles even have a grippy, rubbery part that makes it stable when used as a stand-alone potty. It works great. The kids like the colors and they seem comfortable on it for a reasonable amount of time given that it is hard plastic. My kids have sat on it for 30 minutes sometimes, when needed. Its also easy to clean. I usually just rinse it off when I can and occasionally soap it down. The seat also comes with a fairly sturdy carry plastic bag with draw string and a few bags that can go over the potty and catch whatever the kids have coming for easy disposal afterwards. If you run out of those, you can use standard grocery plastic bags. Very good design, I think. Frankly, I mostly just put the potty seat on the grass or curb and make sure that the feet are uphill of the stream. The seat is fairly thick but I never had a lot of trouble stashing it in my diaper bag. I just have to clean out a few things first. The only problem with this potty seat is that it doesnt have a homing device so that I can locate my first two potty seats. Seriously, Id pay for that app. Happy Pottying!

> 3 dayThis is great for travel. so far I have not used it on a public restroom. we have a CUV so when my soon has to go, I just pop the trunk and put the bag over this potty so my son can go. This came with I think 2 or 3 bags with the little paper towel in it. Major convenient. Per the advice of other reviewers, when I ran out of bags, I used grocery store bags and kept a roll of paper towels in the trunk. I place the paper towels in the bag and it works just the same. It is a little small. We first tried it out on our toilet at home and it is a little small but definitely convenient for on the go.

19-11-2024By far a great purchase! I usually dont rate things high but this product is wonderful. My son refused to go on any toilet at all unless it had a seat. Well I cant just tote around those bigger type seats so I tried to find something I could take with me. I got the seat in a good time and took it rt away to the store.it came with a bag that I just added a small pack of lysol wipes on the outside of for cleaning. My son had no problems with it and went rt away. For him thats great. We went from 20 min bathroom trips telling him the toilet is ok and holding him trying not to move him to 5 min normal in and out trips. I can also use it on trips if we are not where a bathroom is cus it snaps jn place to be sat on the floor. The only problem I could see someone having is if the child is big the seat sits close to the ground when locked in that position. That may be a problem but I definitely wouldnt make that a reason not to get it. If h want something to travel with or just for the store like me this is great. By far the best seat!

> 3 dayWhen I first got this, I was beyond happy. After using it for a few weeks, I am quite disappointed. First for the toilet topper part: At first, I didnt realize how flimsy it actually was. After using it a handful of times, I noticed it dipped inward quite a bit when my son was on it (hes 25 lbs). I also began to notice that it slid and/or bent on most toilet seats. The last straw happened when my son barely shifted on it the other day and it flew off the toilet. My son landed right in my arms, thankfully. This thing slides so easily and is so flimsy that the child cant really move at all while on it. Needless to say, we wont be using it anymore. As for the potty chair feature: It might work fine as an emergency potty to keep in the car, however, my son will sit on it but has never actually gone in it. The child has to sit on the plastic bag which is weird feeling to them/distracting. I guess Ill keep in it my car and hopefully he will go on it if we have a true potty emergency and no other options. UPDATE: I bought the Potette reusable liner and my son loves this potty chair with that attached! We use the potty chair feature whenever we are on the go now. Its even sturdy enough to sit on the seat of our sedan which is great in the winter. Furthermore: I tried this as a toilet topper again (hesitantly) with the reusable liner attached. The liner actually makes it feel a bit more sturdy/comfortable and it keeps it in place better on the toilet. YAY!! And it still folds up and fits in the bag with the reusable liner attached. I still love how compact and portable it is. The reusable liner saved the Potette for us!!

Greater than one weekWe use this potty for my 2yo boy at home with a reusable liner and he loves it more than his regular potty. We got this potty specifically for travel and for home. We havent tried it yet for traveling but I know my anxiety will be at ease with this potty when we do travel. TBH when we first got the potty in the mail, we thought how small the potty was, but I love how small it fits in my diaper bag, any bag. And my 2yo loves to carry it from the bathroom for potty time. I love this product, its a must-have for PT on the go and at home.

> 3 dayWeve owned this for a few weeks now and its simply THE BEST! Every parent with little ones potty training should get one of these! Our girl has used this potty-style in the back of our SUV, in the backseat of our sedan, on the side of the road, at the neighborhood pool, and seated-style on numerous public restrooms. I purchased the disposable bags with these and once I ran out, found a grocery store bag and 2 papertowels folded over works just as well and is more convenient and cheaper than the bags. This potty is comfortable for my girl, easy to transport (comes with a carrying bag), easy to use, easy to clean, convenient, inexpensive and has been invaluable for keeping in the car and using when the moment strikes! Great product! I might consider this my new go-to gift for new parents...even though theyd have to wait a few years until they can use it...its that wonderful.

> 3 dayThis is the perfect little potty for our uses: emergencies and on long car trips. I love that it can be used as a seat on a big potty, if you have that option, or on its own with the bags. I have bought the liners that this company makes to go along with this potty because I like the ease of knowing there wont be spills or leaks if I were to use my own. I also like the ease of not having to carry around both grocery bags and something to put in the bottom of them (although thats a great idea in case I ever find myself without one of Kalencoms liner bags!). We are using this as an emergency potty for our kids ages 9, 6, and 2, although the 9 and 6 year old are able to hold it until we find an actual bathroom better than the 2 year old.

Greater than one weekThis thing is a lifesaver on road trips. My toddler was still in the midst of potty training and she had no issues using this. It converts to a little seat and you can just put a plastic bag insert in there (they sell ones with turtles on them that are great-motivated my girl to pee on the turtles). It also can be used on a regular toilet so a toddler can sit on it comfortable, 2 for 1! This thing is also DURABLE. We used it on a road trip and forgot it once during a stop. Turned around and found that it had been RUN OVER by a car. And you know what, it still works! Didnt get cracked at all and still using it to this day. Wonderful product!

Greater than one weekWe bought this to take away on vacation with a newly potty trained kid who refuses to sit on a full sized toilet. Previously, we had been carting around various full-sized models in the car or just hoping he didnt have to go while we were on a walk. This potty has changed everything. Our three year old likes it, which is really the biggest obstacle to overcome. It is really hand that it folds up and fits in a bag. We can toss it under the stroller or bring it anywhere we need. The bags are admittedly a little gross, but its not like cleaning out a regular potty is great either so I think thats a wash here. I also like that it can be both a travel potty and a toilet seat so if our little guy ever stops being the most stubborn kid in the world, we might actually be able to use this to transition him onto the toilet. The build quality is good, weve been putting a lot of miles on this little seat and it has been great. Just make sure the legs are locked in place before your kid sits down on it (we had one mishap and it taught us a very quick lesson in not skipping this step). I would buy this potty again and will certainly be recommending it to anyone I know looking for a travel potty.

> 3 dayMy son just turned three (also has been in 3T pants for six or so months and transitioning from 4T to 5T shirts) and this does take some adjusting to be sure he doesnt pee out the front of it. That being said, it has been a big help when using public restrooms. I still lay toilet paper down on the seat before I place the potty seat over top just because it makes me feel better. But I simply place my son on the seat and he aims as best he can by leaning forward, etc. He has yet to have a BM on it, so I do anticipate some maneuverability issues there. (We also havent had to use it as a free standing potty yet. It is a pretty low seat, so well see how that goes too. Ill update as we get further along.) As short of a period of time as weve had it, Im thrilled with the ease of acceptance of the seat and its really great to have the base/legs of the potty seat to act as handles. I also am so pleased that it fits into the diaper bag (inside its own bag, of course). It helps to keep in mind that pee is sterile, so I just rinse it in the sink and toss it into the bag until I can wash it at home. Id consider using it at home too, but am certain that wed forget it before leaving. EDIT: We finally used as it a free-standing seat today and it held up well to his 33 pounds. No collasping (thanks to the careful instructions in other reviews to ensure it snaps in before putting my son on it) and it went without incident. I just had him lean forwards a bit to ensure the stream went down instread of out.
