> 3 dayI got this for my 2 year old who wed just potty trained. I didnt want to get caught short in the car away from the bathroom, but I also didnt want a great big potty in the trunk of the car. This is great, it folds small. To use it as a travel potty, you click the legs, add the bag and away they pee (you can buy special bags but a diaper bag with a bit of paper towel in the bottom would work as well.) I read some reviews that it collapses when the kids are on it, but if you click the legs in properly, it does not. To use on the toilet just extend the legs like the wings on a airplane, pop it on the seat and them on top. It folds small enough for the diaper bag too!

> 3 dayIf your kiddo is learning to use the potty, or will be, or learned recently and still has potty emergencies or you have a baby and would like to use fewer diapers, this is a worthwhile investment! Id heard great things about this potty from parents who practice elimination communication with their babies, and from parents who had walked with a toddler through potty learning. But I honestly thought it was probably an extra thing that I didnt need.... Until I was planning an overseas trip with a new potty learner. I needed a potty that I could take and use just about anywhere. On a bus, on the side of the road, in our hotel room, in places without running water. This was all that, and more. What I love about this is how versatile it is. You can use it as a seat reducer on a regular toilet. You can use it with a plastic bag on the go. You can get the reusable silicone liner and use it as a regular potty chair (which is how we use it most). It worked like a champ on our overseas trip. It fit in kiddos Trunki suitcase as our carry-on. It was kiddos primary potty in our hotel room, and traveled with us to our work sites and pretty much everywhere. And it proved plenty useful at home as well. It goes to grandmas house, the babysitters house, church. It stays in the back of the car for playground or road-trip emergencies. When kiddo refused to use the outhouse at the Amish market, I just stuck him on the Potette in the hatch of the car. Problem solved. (To be fair, the outhouse WAS kind of scary)

> 3 dayAwesome product. I travel a fair amount and didnt want to delay or jeopardize potty training my toddler because of my fear of getting stuck somewhere without a toilet. I used this mostly on top of public toilets for the first few months - and it was GREAT for that. It reduced the anxiety of my little one trying to go in strange places, especially when he had to sit for a while to, ahem, produce. We used it on airplane toilets, you name it. Then one day we were about to get on a subway train in NYC and he announced that he had to go pee... I pulled out the Potette, had it set up in seconds, and he was able to sit and pee in comfort (if not privacy!). You really do have to push the legs hard to snap them into place so it is sturdy - but if you do that, it is strong enough to hold my 35lb little guy without a problem. I also love that this is super small, lightweight, and easy to carry around. Cant say enough good things.

> 3 dayI recommend this to EVERYONE who tells me they are potty training it is AMAZING and I love that it comes in a plastic reusable bag for sanitary reasons AND it comes with little baggys to go potty in if you are not using over an actual toilet (havent had to use that yet but its a nice option to have) I honestly think this is a lot of the reason that potty training went so smoothly for us! She was trained within a month after turning 2 and in underwear - no nighttime diapers or snythin just straight from diapers to undies. She also can use this herself she can set it up and I can put it away on her stool and it doesnt take up as much space as her little potty we tried did and sh preferred using the big potty.

> 3 dayAre you kidding me? How did I not know about this sooner? We were at a swim lesson with our two kids when nature called. No restroom available the instructor whips out this portable potty and saves the day. Five years into parenting this would have been INVALUABLE on road trips and for an as-needed purpose when restroom lines are too long for a toddlers bladder. Now on my MUST list for all my parent friends who are potty training or have little kids. Thank you Kalencom! From this Aerospace Engineer father: Design win!

> 3 dayThis is a product that I really WANT to love. Its a great concept, and it has, in fact, proven useful for us. We keep it set up in the back of the SUV for the toddler that always needs to go potty five minutes into any car ride. Its very handy to be able to just pull over and let her climb in the back to pee. However, I do have some issues with the product: 1) Size: The Potette is quite small, and even with my smallish 2-eyar old, I have to position her very carefully and still have some occasional misses. I know the size needs to be small to be carried around. 2) Sturdiness: You have to make sure the legs are snapped in just right before a child can sit on it, or one or both legs will collapse while your child pees. Snapping them in can be difficult at times, especially when youre urgently trying to set it up to prevent an accident! Leaving it set up works fine for us, but on the occasion that we need to stow it away, getting the legs unsnapped and folded has been a pain. Ive had to pull them completely off and then re-snap them into the first hole. This makes it hard to be truly versatile and 2-in-1, at least while your kid is still in the urgent stage where they need the potty quickly. 3) Bags: Again, attaching the bags in a hurry is a bit annoying, but if you dont attach them just right they have a tendency to slip off while the child pees. The pad in the bottom isnt super large, so there still may be a bit of splash. You can use grocery store bags and a paper towel instead of buying expensive refills. Overall, the product is convenient if you leave it set up and use just as a potty, but otherwise the set up can take a little long for a small toddler to wait when they need to go quickly. If youre going to leave it set up anyway, a small one-piece potty is probably a sturdier option. This fits well in a small stroller basket or tote bag for shopping, if you do want to carry it around. I have not used it as a trainer seat, but it seems that it fits well on the toilet and gives the child a clean place to hold. You just then have to deal with folding and unfolding the legs.

19-11-2024I bought this potty seat shortly after my daughter was potty trained in anticipation of the day she would have to use the bathroom while we were out and about somewhere. I have never used it as a stand alone travel potty with the liners, but just as a travel seat to use when not at home. I use it in conjunction with potty covers that I first line on the seat and then I put this on top of the potty cover to cover all contact surfaces. Having this potty seat gives me peace of mind. It does come with a carrying bag which is useful because it is the size of the seat and has a drawstring, but its just a thicker plastic bag and wont last forever. The only downfall for my purposes is that I always have to travel with some type of backpack to slip the seat and my covers in, although I usually dont leave home without an extra set of clothes for my daughter anyways in case of any mishaps, so it all works out.

20-11-2024This thing is a lifesaver on road trips. My toddler was still in the midst of potty training and she had no issues using this. It converts to a little seat and you can just put a plastic bag insert in there (they sell ones with turtles on them that are great-motivated my girl to pee on the turtles). It also can be used on a regular toilet so a toddler can sit on it comfortable, 2 for 1! This thing is also DURABLE. We used it on a road trip and forgot it once during a stop. Turned around and found that it had been RUN OVER by a car. And you know what, it still works! Didnt get cracked at all and still using it to this day. Wonderful product!

> 3 dayWe bought this for a hiking trip my husband and I will be taking with our 2 1/2 year old, whos been potty trained for about 10 months. Shes never had trouble holding it while weve been hiking before, but we wanted to comfortably hike longer distances (and at trails without bathroom facilities) without discomfort to her or anxiety about potential accidents. We tried it out this past weekend while we were doing a short hike, and it worked great. She peed without issue (we didnt even use a bag since we were outside), and the potty is small enough to unobtrusively carry in our hiking backpack/child carrier. The legs easily and sturdily click in place, so Im not sure where the review concerns about that are coming from. I feel much more at ease for our upcoming trip.

> 3 dayGreat for short-trips about town. I have a bit of a reluctant potty-trainer in the form of a stubborn 3-year-old boy. But this thing I love. Still small enough to fit in a diaper bag (which I still carry for toys, drinks, snacks, etc.) when we are out and about. I have a skinny little guy, so this is a life-saver in the public restrooms where he would (a) fall in and (b) ew...not on my babys butt please. 2 thumbs up here. I only didnt give it 5 stars because the little humps in the middle are a bit high. But certainly not enough to prevent from buying again.
