> 3 dayI said many great reviews -- really for the part number HS103P2, this is the single item version. Three nits: The box it came in said to Get the Kasa for Mobile app. Well, at least at the App(le) store this gets you the wrong app -- nothing close to being a TP-Link app. Secondly, I spent a long (pleasant) time chatting with tech support only to find out that it could not be setup on a network with three active channels under one SSID. (Had to shut down all but one access point to get it to setup.) Thirdly, once setup, it will always use that original channel even if there are stronger channels available. (E.g. after setting it up, I turned my other access points on and moved the HS103 across the house. Original channel was weak, HS103 would not use another much stronger channel.) Beware of this issue. Otherwise, a slick piece of hardware.

> 3 dayThis is one of my favorite smart devices. I have a few of my own and have given a few as gifts. Super easy to set up and works great with both Alexa and Google Home. Loved using it with my Christmas tree.

> 3 dayI love these and have installed indoors and on a porch outdoors. Use them for all occasions but it is great to have all the Christmas lights go on at the same time with no plugs and or switches. Just rescheduled everything for daylight savings, which took less than 30 seconds for 8 devices. (this rating was copied from another Kasa product I purchased).

> 3 dayThese plugs are great. I plugged all of our Christmas lights into multiple plugs and put them all in a group called “Christmas Lights”. So easy to turn every light on and off with one simple request to Alexa

> 3 dayIve tried at least a half dozen brands of these type devices, including in-wall switches. Its time to standardize to make it easier to deal with so I chose TPLink. The app works great and the devices work quickly with the Alexa integration. Im giving away all the other brands Ive tried- one app, properly working stuff is all I want now. Its rare that one loses connection, but if they do- it seems they are back online quickly. Ive even decided to go with the whole TPLink ecosystem of cameras and in-wall dimmers. If youre unsure which brand to go with, Ive been into home automation since we used to have to write our own scripts for X10 protocol... theres not much out there I havent tried. TPLink is consumer grade and low priced, but it performs really well. In my case, Ive even used a spare older router just to connect to the 38 automation devices separately from the regular internet devices... Im really happy with the performance and prices.

> 3 dayThis smart plug fulfills it purpose wonderfully. I just wish it could do more (e.g. like its big brother, the Kasa 6 plug power strip, which tracks the electrical usage of each plug). Originally purchased to turn on and off a difficult to access lamp, it lost its purpose after I received just one Philip smart bulb. Well, actually, after the first smart bulb, I realized every lamp and light fixture needed a smart dimmable bulb. While I have, yet, to convert 100% of the fixtures, all lamps are now using Philip smart dimmable bulbs. The bulbs are so much better than an on/off switch. I have yet to find the plug another purpose. The power strip is tracking the electrical usage of my big computer, 3 monitors, and external devices (e.g. drives, video capture, hubs, etc). This plug, unlike the strip, can only turn on and off. Our goal with these smart devices is to track and / or reduce our electric usage. Beside the lights and computer, there really isnt anything we own needing remote on / off capability. It isnt the plugs fault, its just got limits. If you need a smart plug, this one or the Amazon smart plug are the ones you should consider. Of course, you should consider getting a plug able to track your electrical needs There is always its brother the strip. 5 stars, after all my lack of finding it a new job isnt its fault.

> 3 dayVery easy to set up. I attached all my Christmas lights and programmed a schedule. Never had to deal with lights for the whole season. Performs as advertised. Would highly recommend.

> 3 dayAfter using this plug with the app for many months, they broke it without any notification. I had a schedule to turn it on every day at sunset, and turn it off after bedtime. Worked for a long time, then suddenly, it will only set to Sun, Mon, Tue (even though it says on the main page MWF). At first, I thought, oh thats why its not working, and I went through and set it for all days, and saved. Opened it back up, and it was back to MTW. No way would it set for more than the 3 days. So I tried making a new one for Th Fri Sat, and it wouldnt accept it. It says I must choose a day. Even if I edit an existing action to delete M Tu Wed, it will give an error. So, bottom line, it only will schedule an action for Mon, Tue, and Wed. But it doesnt tell you that, of course. A quick search led me to many Reddit posts about this, and how many people got screwed when it didnt do something they were counting on. At least it still works with Alexa, so far. Probably works with Google Home, too, but I havent figured out how to set it up because I used to have a Wemo plug, and Google keeps trying to talk to Wemo.

> 3 dayHave no idea what these people who had trouble settling up are talking about. Took me 5 minutes to set up and integrate with Alexa. This is my third one and they work great and are very reliable.

> 3 dayI bought this for my husband who is currently unable to turn the light on and off in the living room due to medical conditions, but this was rather easy to install. I noticed it was packed in a mini box and did not immediately see the instructions as the print was too hard for me to read. But I kind of knew right away that I needed to download the Kasa app based on different reviews online that Ive read on this product, both on Amazon and off other sites. Had created my TP Link Kasa account and then verified myself and was able to connect to Wifi on the Xfinity white XFI Gateway model and then went back to the Alexa App to link the two together. I maybe spent about 8 to 9 minutes setting this up but once it was done, my husband can now use the Echo Dot to turn off the lights. Previously he was using the clapper, which proved to be an issue with mobility and clapping. This was a bargain for the price spent and I may buy a few more in the future once I can expand our technology.
