I had bought the 2 set HS103P2 three years ago, but hadnt had a reason to use it until now. The first one I had no trouble getting it to connect. The second one would not connect. Contacted support and they quickly got back to me and suggested to do a factory reset and info on how to do it. Worked great! Thanks for the great support!

The set up is super easy. I was able to add it to my alexa, and set up the times I wanted my lights to come on. It connects to your wifi, and you can download the app that goes with it. I ended up adding it to my home app, and set the schedules that way. I love that my lights turn on automatically when Im not home, and then shut off at the time I set it for. You will need Wifi in order to use them as intended. Highly recommend purchasing, and I will be purchasing even more.

These plugs work....that’s it, they work. All of the TP Link smart home plugs and Switches work, and work flawlessly that I can see. The Kasa app is great, works flawlessly as well. I have 8 of these so far, and they are mixed in my home with wall switches (TP Link switch and 3 way switches) to all run with Kasa app that is TP link that then works with the Alexa Amazon Echos throughout the home. These things are truly plug and play. You plug them in, open the Kasa App, and add device and bam, its super easy to follow the directions and add to WiFi in the home. Then open Alexa App on the phone and all of these TP Link items are there in the Smart Home section. It just works, and works flawlessly. The entire system, I add Routines and Scenes and you can do all kinds of cool things. In the Alexa App the Routines, I can turn on lights and play the weather on the Echo and then have it start music. I can say Alexa, turn on the Accent Lighting and it turns OFF the ones that I want off and dont think are accent, and turns on the ones I say to turn on, and it is super easy. The Kasa app also has timers as much as you want. You can set turn on and the time, and create as many as you want, and turn off the same. My Christmas lights indoor and outdoor were all on these indoors and the plugs for outdoors are on switches, so bam those all worked on timers there. Same with my patio outdoor lights. The only glitch Ive had in the months of using these......I switched Broadband Providers from Uverse to Spectrum. The new WiFi router, I set up the SSID to the exact same, same password, and it should have all just connected and never had a glitch. After 2 hours of weirdness, and trying to reset one of them, and get the TP Link to work.....I spent more time online and realized these are 2.4Ghz ONLY. I had set up the 5Ghz Wifi to be the original. I went in and made the 2.4G the old one, and BAM, everything worked FLAWLESSLY again. So, the 5Ghz wave I made the SSID-5G and all was right with the world once again, ha. My wife said this was silliness......she also said that when I got our first DVR 20 years ago......now the DVR is full of HGTV.....and she admits these things are great.

I really love these plugs. I have plugged them into lamps that dont have smart bulbs and fans that dont have WiFi integration. I havent had the issue with these reconnecting to WiFi that I have read about others having. I have had the WiFi go out multiple times and every time it comes back on they automatically connect without issue. The only thing I think would make them better it to have a USB port on the side but that is just a small thing that doesnt make or break this product.

I have 2 AUKEY smart switches, which are no longer sold on Amazon. So when I needed 2 more I tried these. They set up fine & initially worked as programmed. Until, that is, we experienced a power outage, which lasted a mere 15 seconds, after which they both failed to run the schedule. They still worked remotely by manually touching the power button on my iPad. But the schedule showed “connection failure.” Both my AUKEY switches were still working fine. However since I have run into this issue with the AUKEY switches in the past with power outages, I tried unplugging both switches then plugging them back in. This fixed the problem & both were immediately back up & running. But really, this should not be happening with a brief power outage, hence I am deducting a star.

Easy enough to setup through the Kasa app. They just work! You can choose whether the ring of light around the built in power button stays on or not.

I don’t have any complaints about these. I love that I can read a book in bed and not have to worry about getting out of bed to turn off the light at night. I love that I can set a timer for it to turn on and off in the evening or when we’re out of town to have the lights turning off and on so it appears we’re at home and awake. I seemingly buy 2 new ones every year. We’re up to 6 now.

3 working units for a couple months now. No hardware issues, or problems connecting them to network and existing hub. Issue is the iOS apps user interface. Not intuitive and poor layout. Takes way too long to setup a schedule.

Ive been holding out on buying smartplugs due to their need to be on a 2.4Ghz network. I had no desire in segmenting my mesh network into 2 bands. I prefer to roam my property with my cellphone/laptop and let it correctly choose the band that is needed for optimal connectivity. Before purchasing, I noticed reviews stating that these plugs worked seamlessly with Orbi mesh products. I bought a 3 pack of these plugs and had all three connected and working within 15 minutes or less. Easy peasy! That is what I want in home automation. I would buy more of the TP/Kasa line of products based on this initial experience.

The plugs work great and I like how I can control the from my google home app and set timers and stuff. This is the only thing in my house that is not SmartThings compatible unfortunately so I will have to replace it with the Hue smart plugs. Would give 5 stars if it worked with SmartThings
