> 3 dayThese work great. I used them when we are traveling, so I can turn lights on and off while we are gone. Nice to be able to do that when I am hundreds of miles away!

> 3 dayI had some difficulty setting up the smart plugs. After several attempts I called customer support. The person that helped me, Hanson, was very knowledgeable and patient. We were able to resolve the issue and get my smart plugs working. I would suggest adding some clarity to the installation instructions to make it easier to set up.

> 3 dayI bought this to hook up decorations to and be able to turn on and off via voice with Alexa. I could never get it to connect to our home wifi. It always used a separate wifi signal and I had to use a separate app in order to make it work. I could not get it connected to alexa in order to use voice command. I am extremely disappoointed in this product.

> 3 dayThe product does what it says. It turns on or off if you click a button in the app. The app also allows scheduling. But the app does not seem to allow good control of the device (e.g., turn the socket on if a smart bulb installed on the same app is on), which to me is the main point of having a smart device. Since the device does not work with at least one other platform that allows this kind of smart programming (Smart Life app, that Ive been testing), I find its use case very poor in comparison with the competition. And it does not measure power consumption, another big minus. I saw good reviews of this product, including in the Wirecutter, but the limitations of the app are not clear from the product information webpage, so I returned this.

Greater than one weekI needed a way to remotely turn on or off some circuits in my house. I am not yet using Alexa integration, just the iOS app. Installation and onboarding of the 2 plugs was simple and took less than 5 minutes to bring both plugs online in different parts of the house. They are sold by TP-Link, a fact I didnt realize when I ordered. Knowing they were a TP-Link product would have made my decision to buy this product a little easier because I have good luck with TP-Link networking products with the exception being they are slow to update firmware. My biggest negative is the size. As you can see from the pic, it fits somewhat on a power strip, but it takes out the outlet to the left and right if placed anywhere but first or last outlet. I know the Expressif systems-on-chip well. They are the microcontroller brand most often used in WiFi connected products these days. I have Expressif boards the size of my thumbnail so I know it is possible to shrink the footprint. I suspect theres a relay, some other components such as capacitors, resistors, the led-illumation and pushbutton, and thats about it. The size may be due to the power requirements to handle several amps of power. In conclusion, I need to set up a more complete home automation system and do some more research before buying more. But I would not hesitate to buy these again if they continue to meet my requirements.

> 3 dayI have 2 AUKEY smart switches, which are no longer sold on Amazon. So when I needed 2 more I tried these. They set up fine & initially worked as programmed. Until, that is, we experienced a power outage, which lasted a mere 15 seconds, after which they both failed to run the schedule. They still worked remotely by manually touching the power button on my iPad. But the schedule showed “connection failure.” Both my AUKEY switches were still working fine. However since I have run into this issue with the AUKEY switches in the past with power outages, I tried unplugging both switches then plugging them back in. This fixed the problem & both were immediately back up & running. But really, this should not be happening with a brief power outage, hence I am deducting a star.
