solders at lower temperaturres for the smaller wire. hate lead, but lead free burns insulation off wire It does the job!

This is really good for small soldering connections.

Excellent Solder. Ive used all types of solder, from the cheap Chinese stuff, to the smaller rolls that you can get at your local home improvement store, and this stuff is the best. Dont get me wrong, the other stuff can work well, but this has the lowest melting point that I have ever dealt with, and the joints it makes are all shiny and clean, though you will need to clean off extra flux once you are done.

Great to do electrical work with. It heats rapidly, flows smoothly, and makes a perfect joint. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in buying such a product.

While solder is solder, Kester has been around forever and what was surprising is per pound, this roll was cheaper than majority of unknown brands. A minority of brandless solder I compared were only $1-5 less per pound, making the difference inconsequential because the real value is that Kester solder will perform per their published specifications as eutectic solder while with brandless, YMMV. The diameter of this roll is perfect for working with SMT or larger devices.

WOW! I never realized how wrong I was soldering before. Absolutely perfect for my Amateur Radio gear and other small electronics products/kits. Ive built small digital clocks to full radios with this and its amazing stuff! Worth every penny!
