My favorite leaded solder for electronics. Use silver solder for mechanical joints.

I use this stuff mainly for audio cables and equipment. I dont think Ive made a bad solder joint yet using this. Runs a little wetter than some of the other stuff Ive used, but that results in virtually no oxidation.

This was a very competitive price for top-quality Kester solder. It is a little smaller diameter than my last roll, which is great for the more crowded boards that I am building these days.

Best solder I’ve ever used. Flows great. My only issue is I should’ve bought thicker, but that’s a personal problem not a product problem. Highly recommended

Was recommended this by a micro soldering blog and I will keep it going.. I recommend this solder for micro soldering or any pcb/electronic soldering flows real nice

On the stand it stands perfectly

So, I had been building electronics, fixing guitars, doing synth work for two decades before I switched to this stuff from various generic other solders (whatever the store had on hand). All I can say is that I would have saved myself some time and work if I had used this and a temp regulated iron from the beginning. Its night and day, life changing, hours saving, and more satisfying in the end (turns out my soldering tech isnt as bad as I had always thought it was. Switch to good tools and I get a solid, good-looking joint every time). I have also tested this with a good quality (goot) non-temp-regulated iron and its still very good. Just, learn from someone else and buy great tools from the outset or dont solder. Soldering is a way more fun and easy experience with the right tools. This solder is one of those right tools. I dont really see how you could do much better than Kester 44 if youre buying electrical solder in this spec. So, Im giving it five stars all around.
