This USB lasted me a couple of years until it died out. It worked though it wasnt the fastest. It became slower and slower with use (as a regular flash memory), but it worked well until then. As this USB is made of plastic, its more vulnerable to drops than other counterparts with better materials.

I bought a few of these as extras to keep around at work. Im in I.T. and find myself constantly lending out flash drives to people. These flash drives rarely make it back to me. So I keep a stash of cheap flash drives around for this reason. Obviously, since these things typically are not returned, I try not to spend much money on these flash drives. But I also need them to work so I generally get name brand flash drives. I bought a few of these 32GB Kingstons a while back and have good success with them, they arent the fastest things around I want to say they bench at around 120-140 MB/S read , but like most cheap USB 3.0 drives, they only write at around 40-70 MB/S. Which is good enough for what I need. The price was right, I think I paid something like $6.99 a piece for a few of them. At that price, I dont mind it too much if they never get returned to me after people borrow them.

    Good value for the money.

I purchased this because it was on sale, and I wanted to have another usb stick for OS installs. However, when flashing a boot ISO to the drive, it ran so slow that I gave up completely, used an older computer with an older flash drive, redownloaded the Linux ISO, and wrote it to the bootable USB drive all before this one had even reached 20% completion... The thing was cheap but not worth it at all.

Kingston drives just seem to work. Ive had mixed results with other brands.

I cant use this with my Moto G 3, where other flash drives work just fine. Also, so far Ive been unable to prove the USB 3 speed.

Not the fastest you can get. Im getting 16 mb/s of write speed and I think there are other products that can go as fast as 60mb/s. Wish I have researched some more before buying this one, but it is just fine if you dont care a lot about speed.

Writing mp3s to this starts off okay at around 30 mbps then slows to around under 200 kbps in under a minute and eventually around 50 kbps until it finally finishes about 30 minutes later. Not only does it read and write it slowly, it corrupts the files it writes. My car head unit would skip or not even play some songs, leading me to think my head unit was messed up and went through the trouble of replacing a few all because of this POS. Just recently, I decided to reformat and give this a try because I needed a USB stick to use as a recovery drive, and failed again which is the reason for this review. I put the recovery data on this stick and booted to USB and sure enough I get a pop up saying I cant use it because a file is corrupted. Next I reloaded the same data on a Sandisk Extreme and no problems.

I dont know why there are too many negative reviews. Mine is working well and IT IS USB 3.0. You need to plug it into USB 3 port to get maximum speed out of it.
