Koss Porta Pro On Ear Headphones with Case, Black / Silver

I can see how a lot of folks would really like these cans, but sadly theyre not for me. I like a very crisp, open sound and find these entirely too bassy, and in some cases with too much distortion on the low end. It may be the kind of music I want them for--I listen mainly to electronic/chill. Too bad, cause I really like the way they feel. Almost weightless. And I actually like the retro styling (80s---retro???)Kudos for the non-clamshell packaging too.

Synposis: Good sound quality, relatively comfortable, and can be registered for a lifetime warranty with Koss. Not much else that can be asked for from a set of headphones at this prices range.

Theyre pretty comfortable, and the sound quality is not bad, except for what sounds to my ears like an exaggerated, slightly muddy bass. Im one of those guys that likes natural, uncolored sound reproduction.

3rd set, what else can i say lol ... they have always been a little heavy on the base but as a work horse they are perfect

Happy with Koss PortaPro. Light, comfortable, adjusts easily, great sound quality, while allowing to hear a phone next room ringing.

This was my third pair of Koss porta pro headphones.. Im always impressed by the strong bass in a pair that seems to float in air. They are rated very high in most reviews and thats why I got my first pair. Nice and light so you can wear them all day without discomfort and no big clamshells on your ears. For the money the best phones Ive ever used. Ive given them as gifts as well as use them essentially every day. Wore out the first pair of foam pads on the ears, but I use them a lot. Only minor issue is that the headband setting tends to lose its place when you take them off, so you have to re-adjust each time. I finally put duct tape around the metal headbands to hold the setting that fits me. My first pair had a volume control which went bad very shortly so I get the model with no volume control and adjust the volume at the item Im plugged into.

I really tried to like these. The sound is very good. Very clear treble, and decent bass. My complaint though, is in the durability. On my first pair, the left side stopped reproducing sound. It was within a couple of weeks, so Amazon (great customer service, by the way) exchanged them for another set of PortaPro headphones. I then started using the second set, and within a couple of months they stopped working. The problem, apparently, was in the 3.5mm plug. When I would move the plug around, I could sometimes get sound. So overall great sound, poor durability.
