Yes, they look strange. Yes, they look like a futuristic design from the 1980s--and indeed, they are from the 80s.

The massdrop version of this products has a better cable and includes a microphone but still a banging product!

They are not comfortable to wear for a long time. The blue adjustment tabs on the sides (firm to light) didnt stay in the light position very long. And the foam covering didnt last long either. Theyre OK, but I wouldnt buy them again.

Having KSC75 for travels I thought this will be more or less the same but with more comfortable wear. But no. ABSOLUTELY another sound - no trebles at all, bass is overloaded and not springy (it is like boo-boo-boo mess). A vocalist trying to sing through the pillow. Total disappointment. Construction is nice but cathes your hair sometimes.

How many other things can you say have been around for decades without any substantial changes? Theyre still cheap and flimsy. Theyre still borderline uncomfortable. And they still sound shockingly good. In a change of pace from most inexpensive headphones, you wont need to boost bass on these, but they will benefit from a touch of extra sparkle in your treble EQ. Dial that in and prepare to be amazed. And then prepare to buy a few more because yours will inevitably fall apart. To my aging ears, theyre even more forgiving of the digital age than they were back in the 80s with all the Walkmans (Walkmen?) I used to have. Once, their lack of sparkle made tape hiss less of an issue, now it does the same for compression artifacts. They will not beat your full-size cans or your fancy IEMs, but that doesnt mean theyre not still a delightful freak of nature that you wont regret having in your headphone arsenal.

I absolutely love these headphones. I keep them folded up in my backpack so I can use them on the go. They have beautiful sound quality and I love the style.

This unit was not designed for the heavy user. The person who uses it all day and takes it on and off. Not built to last... They have good sound, but their design could be improved.

Dynamic element design for deep bass performance; Comfort zone setting on temporal pad for comfortable, secure fit; Multi-pivoting earplates and adjustable headband for added comfort; Collapsible for maximum portability when listening on the go; Includes convenient carrying case; Straight, dual entry 4 foot cord; Frequency response: 15-25,000 Hz. It is not meant for noise isolation. If volume too low, the listener should turn the volume up. This is handled through the device that the headphones are plugged into. The headphones do not have volume control

Koss introduced the PortaPro headphone back in 1984, and they"ve been a hit ever since. To this day, they still deliver excellent sound quality, particularly for phones in this price range.

Phones are collapsible, for maximum portability. Get just the right amount of pressure.

The Koss PortaPro collapsible stereophone combines high-quality sound reproduction with a unique design for the ultimate in convenience and comfort. These over-the-head headphones have a dynamic element design for deep bass performance and a frequency response of 15 to 25,000 Hz to ensure the music comes through clear and bright.

Also designed for comfort, these headphones have two adjustable temporal-comfort zone pads to shift the pressure and perfectly balance the ear plates on your ear. The open-earphone ear plates are multipivoting and, together with the adjustable headband, allow for maximum comfort.

The PortaPros are collapsible and come with a carrying case, so it"s still easy to take them with you even when you"re not wearing them.
