These headphones are super lightweight and comfortable, easily the most comfortable pair Ive ever owned. The sound is way better than youd expect for $30, too. The highs can be a little bit muffled sounding, but not enough to really take away from the overall experience. The bass is impressive for this style and price point. The sound isnt going to compare to a pair of studio headphones costing several hundred dollars, but Ive owned plenty of other under-$50 headphones, and these blow them all out of the water. The sound leakage isnt as bad as I expected, either; as long as you arent seated immediately next to the person using them and they arent blasting the sound, you really wont hear much of anything.

For the money, I cant find a better headphone. I use them every night with my computer and I find them comfortable and the sound is excellent.

Over the past seven years, I have predominantly used Sony MDR-V300 and Bose In-Ear Headphones with my 2nd-Generation iPod and now my 1st-Generation iPod Touch. I loved switching from the Sonys which I found uncomfortable to wear for long periods to the Bose which I could wear all day. I used the Bose headphones almost everyday from May 2007 to March 2010 when I came across the Koss PortaPro headphones on CNET. I had been looking at potentially buying noise-cancelling headphones for an impending trip to Australia. CNETs Top 5 Best Headphone article included some familiar names: Bose QuietComfort, Shure, Klipsch, but the PortaPros definitely caught my eye. Here were headphones an order of magnitude cheaper than all the others. I had to try them out. I figured with such a long trip I would either love or hate them by the end. Plus, my Bose headphones were starting to tear on the cord and I never enjoyed wearing them outside. Besides, who can lose at $30-35 for a pair of headphones?

Bought these just because I saw several videos talking about how good they were. They went on sale for $29 so I pulled the trigger. Those reviewers arent joking, these are very solid headphones. Theyre comfortable enough, they fold up small, and they pack a ridiculous punch for looking like crappy cheapo 90s headphones. I was pleasantly surprised and wouldnt hesitate to buy them again. I waiting for a different Koss model to come in to compare them to and depending on which are better, Ill probably buy a set for family members.

It is not meant for noise isolation. If volume too low, the listener should turn the volume up. This is handled through the device that the headphones are plugged into. Koss introduced the PortaPro headphone back in 1984, and they"ve been a hit ever since. To this day, they still deliver excellent sound quality, particularly for phones in this price range.

Phones are collapsible, for maximum portability. Get just the right amount of pressure.

The Koss PortaPro collapsible stereophone combines high-quality sound reproduction with a unique design for the ultimate in convenience and comfort. These over-the-head headphones have a dynamic element design for deep bass performance and a frequency response of 15 to 25,000 Hz to ensure the music comes through clear and bright.

Also designed for comfort, these headphones have two adjustable temporal-comfort zone pads to shift the pressure and perfectly balance the ear plates on your ear. The open-earphone ear plates are multipivoting and, together with the adjustable headband, allow for maximum comfort.
