20-11-2024As someone who frequently works remotely, I cant recommend the this monitor enough. This monitor has been a game-changer for me while working on the go. I typically work with two external monitors when Im at home, so its tough to switch to just my laptop screen when Im traveling. The KYY monitor is small and portable, folds up easily with the included stand, and fits nicely into my backpack without taking up too much space. What I love most about this monitor is that its all powered through one USB-C cord. No need for additional power cords or cables – just a simple USB-C to USB-C cord does the trick. If youre someone who works on the go, I highly recommend giving this a try. Its the perfect travel companion for anyone who needs an extra screen on the go.

Greater than one weekWhen an item is as good it advertises, I like to leave a review to help others. This worked great for traveling as a second attached monitor to my MacBook Pro. I especially liked how this does NOT require a power source (for the MBP set up). -SIMPLE set up. -Very Light weight. -Fold Up stand/magnetic is nice! -Clear, Bright display. Back at Home - Ive now connected the portable Monitor to my 2015 iMac. This did require the use of the provided power source and a (separate purchase) Thunderbolt cable to fit their provided mini HDMI. And to top it off, I placed the KYY vertically-next to the iMac - instructions in their book. This is a good purchase. Hope this helps!

Greater than one weekBefore you read the issue I had below I would like to add that the seller saw this review and contacted me directly. They asked me a few troubleshooting questions and when they saw that I actually had a hardware problem they sent me a new monitor and it works perfectly. So thank you for the great customer service and this is a great product now that I have one that works correctly! It works fine on my Dell laptop if I use the USB-C port for power and the HDMI for video. But I really think it should work with just the USB-C alone. But it doesnt. It just powers up and says no signal. I even tried it on my sons Nintendo switch to see if maybe it was my computer was the problem. Doesnt work on USB-C on the switch either. Powers up but says no signal. Im sure I could use the switches docking station and use the HDMI out and it would work fine. But thats not the point. Was advertised to have a fully functional USBC port. That could be used for power and video. So either mine is malfunctioning or its false advertisement.

> 3 dayThis works well, thats about what I can say about it. It is not spectacular, it is not fantastic, it is not stupendous. It just overall works for a portable monitor. Ive seen plenty with more bells and whistles than this thing but they are also usually priced higher. The HDR is straight hot garbage so dont use it. But for average browsing and occasional gaming ... it definitely displays its qualities

Greater than one weekEDIT 10/31/2022: I received a replacement monitor that works perfectly, KYY customer service is really good! Highly recommend this monitor and if you have any problems, theyll take care of you. EDIT 10/29/2022: Ive been in contact with customer support and theyre EXTREMELY prompt with replies! Its actually really impressive - weve determined the ports on the monitor are not functioning correctly so theyre sending a replacement unit. Will update this again after testing that out. ORIGINAL: I got this monitor for use with a CHUWI LarkBox X miniPC with a documented full-function USB-C port, but despite trying multiple cables including the provided one, I cannot get the monitor to recognize the input. Charges fine and the mini-HDMI works as a display input but it wouldve been nice to only need one cable. The colors arent great even when changing the brightness/contrast/RGB settings, but it looks fine enough with no major issues. Good monitor for the price, the stand works well enough, but its disappointing that some ports dont work as advertised.

> 3 dayIve only had my new portable monitor for a few days, but so far Im extremely pleased with the device. It is exactly what I was hoping for. It is an extended display for my Windows 11 Dell laptop that only requires one cable (USB C for signal and power). The picture quality is as good as my laptop. The brightness is as good as my laptop. The colors are certainly satisfactory, but Im an business user, so I cant speak to the color quality for graphic design and photo editing. My only minor complaint is that case/stand. As a case, it is OK, but certainly doesnt provide any drop protection. All it is protecting against is scratches and dents while its in my laptop bag. Is that so bad, however? Because my laptop doesnt have any drop protection when it is out of the bag either. The case doubles as the stand and it is OK at best. It does hold up the monitor, using magnets and friction, but it would take much of a bump to send it flying or falling. Reading the instructions is helpful, as many people probably dont realize the bottom flap flips over for extra holding power. The weird thing is that it seems the magnet has reverse polarity from what it should. The top of the back of the case, if aligned with the top of the back of the monitor, actually repels instead of attracts. It still seems to work ok, but I do flip the screen around backward when I put it away, otherwise the case would be held about 1/2 from the screen due to magnet forces, instead of pulling tight. I think almost all of these monitors (other brands as well) have a bunch of negative reviews from people who didnt understand what they were doing. Many of them dont have a fully featured USB C cable capable of providing power and picture on a single cable. These folks will need two cables, one for HDMI and one for power. The monitor does come with both cables, just in case. I get the impression everyone expected single-cable operation, despite not knowing what their device (laptop, phone, etc.) would support. Some people even complained that a special cable was required for using it with an IPad or iPhone. Understand, this isnt the monitor manufacturers fault. It is the device manufacturer... or the user knowledge. Furthermore, USB-C just doesnt have very clear designations and specifications for everyday users. Lastly, some bad reviews are from people who purchased this for use sitting at their desk. Know what youre buying! There are better and cheaper options if all someone wants to do is use this at their desk. This is a great option for portability, but not what youd choose to buy if it is always going to sit on your desk and never move.

> 3 dayClear, well lit screen. Same 1920x1080 resolution as my laptop, so dragging windows from laptop screen to this screen doesn’t have that annoying resolution switch. I can carry this around with me to coffee shops, airport lounges, hotels, etc, and always have 2 screens available—powered from the USB port, no wall brick required. This is extremely useful for a traveling professional.

> 3 dayI have been using this monitor as a second screen for my laptop for the past month. It sets up easily and packs back up quickly. I have been taking it to the library to work on my coding projects, and the non-glare screen is perfect to reduce strain on my eyes. I purchased it during a flash sale so it was a great deal. I highly recommend it!
