Greater than one weekThis lets me eat stuff that would otherwise make me painfully gassy. Welcome back to my life fresh cheeses, ice cream and whipped cream. Fact: 60% of the world struggles with digesting dairy. Fact: Most cheese are easy to digest for people because cheese is made from the curds that you separate from the whey in milk. The whey has the lactose (which makes it difficult to digest) in it. Also, as cheese ages, whatever lactose is in it, slowly goes away. The more aged the cheese, the easier to digest. Please vote yes or helpful for this review. Thank you!

> 3 dayThe individually sealed pills makes this extremely easy to carry when going out to restaurants or traveling, no bottles to carry and I can slip just one in a small purse if I know I’m going to be eating creamy food with my meal. One thing I noticed is that it tends to work better with small quantities of dairy. Not sure where the threshold is, but I noticed that there was one day when I consumed a large amount of cheese throughout the day, my stomach still bothered me. Guess the amount dairy consumption overwhelmed the dosage of the pill.

Greater than one weekI did not know things like this existed up until recently in my 22 years of life and I am now going to use this for the rest of my life. Now I can eat Ice cream, Pizza, cereal and I dont have to worry about embarrassing side effects with this product. Some more hardcore lactose foods definitely need two pills to have a worry free experience but honestly it is so worth it I cant say enough about it.

> 3 dayI must have an extreme lactose intolerance allergy because I have to swallow 3 to 4 pills every time I east dairy. It does not act any faster than the regular one. The one thing I dont like is that each pill is individually wrapped. Thats fine if you are taking some out with you. But there should be another version where they are loose in the bottle. But since they dont, Ill just go back to the regular kind.

22-11-2024Unfortunately my son is lactose intolerant and he has a few of these before having a bowl of cereal and no issues afterwards. No cramps, bloat, diarrhea nothing. So for me this is an amazing product!! I’m sure he would say the same lol

> 3 dayIve used Lactaid for over 12 years and it works great, took two years for me to be diagnosed with lactose intolerance while I was in high school. I always had stomach/belly aches and it got to the point where people stopped believing me when I said my stomach hurt when I was in school, they thought I just wanted to go home, but that was all solved when I found out I was lactose intolerant after having a simple test done at the hospital. One easy way I was told you can find out if your lactose intolerant is dont eat or drink anything after 10pm at night, go to bed then the next morning drink a full glass of milk and wait 2-3 hours, if you have discomfort such as bloating, gas (burping, and later on air out the other end) stomach/belly aches, nausea and in sever cases vomiting, then you are most likely lactose intolerant. The Lactaid Fast Act are great, they are more potent that other generic brand and work better and faster than the regular lactaid, they come individually wrapped in paper/foil pouches, great for traveling. One thing they do not work well with is Milk or larger amounts of cream. To use lactaid capsules to drink milk I would always take a minimum of 4 since straight milk always gave me the biggest problem. BUT You can purchase Lactaid Milk, but is expensive, so what Ive done is treated my own milk with lactase drops (the enzyme in lactaid but in liquid form) TREATING YOUR OWN MILK: Ive always liked getting milk from a local farm in town, but couldnt do so for a while until I discovered the drops. I get the LACTEEZE drops you can order the 7ml bottle from [...] for about $12 per bottle, I usually put 15 drops in a half gallon of milk, wait a couple hours or overnight and it works GREAT! No need to take any lactaid if you treat your milk, I just always treat my milk right after I get home from the store. If you want to save money on the drops, order the bigger 15.5ml bottle directly from the manufacture which is in Canada. I have ordered from the manufacture twice now and they have been great, havent had any issues and its delivered within a week. To order from the manufacture go to [...] and click Gelda E-shop, products, Gelda Pharmaceuticals and scroll down. They sell all the lacteeze products including the 7ml and 15.5ml bottles. Call them if you have any questions, they are very nice, and ordering through them is the cheapest, I get the 15.5ml bottles individually and usually order 2-3 at a time. Good luck, hope this info can help someone! I just wish I found out I was lactose intolerant sooner :)

> 3 dayA lot of people are leaving 1 star reviews simply because they dont work. If you do some research ahead of time, you will see they just simply dont work for everyone. Its likely not the products fault, its likely you. They do work for me. The pills do, however, taste pretty bad. I guess thats why you are supposed to eat them with your first bite, to dilute the taste. I also think the instructions are lacking. I assume you are supposed to chew them, but I dont know the dairy to pill ratio. I took 4 within the first 36 hours (one with each meal), and I got severe dry mouth and headaches. Since these are literally sugar pills, I guess that would make sense. I probably just over loaded on sugar.

> 3 dayI grew up drinking milk, lots of it. My brother and I could finish a gallon in a day. I enjoyed a life of dairy and regular bowel movements. Then I dated a vegan for six months. I switched to almond milk, learned to make some really good vegan food, and found some great dairy substitutes. After that relationship came to an end I tried to rekindle my relationship with milk and cheese and ice cream. I am after all, a pastry chef, so butter, milk, and cheese are essential to my livelihood. My reintroduction to diary did not go very smoothly. My bowel movements became... less regular. I had not correlated these symptoms with lactose intolerance until my bother, whom had also dated a vegan, described a situation similar to my own. Lactaid has helped me regain my pre-vegan lifestyle and has made my work bearable again. Sometimes I forget an individual packet in my work pants, but they have survived the washing machine/dryer every time. Just know that if you date a vegan and it doesnt work out, these work and youll need them for the rest of your dairy loving life.

> 3 dayGreat product as always, but I thought I was ordering a bottle of 60 and not single serve pocket packs. But oh well, still great and solve the dairy problem.
