Works for me... I usually have to run to the bathroom 20 minutes after I eat and so far Im doing much better. Didnt realize it was the milk that was causing the issue. Yay...

Took 1 litre of whole milk the first day i started using these lactaid caplets and im happy to say that i didnt feel any movements or discomfort in my tummy whatsoever. I realised something was wrong o_o or more or less, right this time. lol I dont remember the last time i took so much milk and had no effects whatsoever. Ive always had bloating, random noises & some kind of weird pain in my tummy, and even diarrhea (when i take too much at a time without much solid food). These caplets have helped me so much so that since i started taking this last month, more than once ive forgotten to take some before having dairy products but ive never had any discomfort whatsoever in any of these instances. I know, o_o I was surprised too. This is just how much this supplement has been of help to me. Ive been really surprised each time i forgot to take dairy with a caplet and i experienced no effects whatsoever. (Maybe its cause i take some almost every day?) well, idk. But im just glad it works :D Only thing i regret is not buying more the first time since its pretty much impossible to get these where i live, but im definitely gonna order more before i ran out soon. I dont know why i didnt find this earlier. Seriously. My life wouldve been a whole lot easier with this. :( Ask me if ill recommend it? Well ive already started recommending this to people i come across every day whove dairy issues! :) Hope it works for them as well as it did me! ^_^

Let me channel my inner Dr. Oz. This little miracle pill allows people with mild to moderate lactose intolerance enjoy dairy again. All you have to do is drink 1-2 pills (depending on how much dairy and how severely intolerant you are) right before eating dairy and it should work for about 45 minutes. In that time, you can laugh in the face of lactose as you gleefully devour it. Im not sure if it would work for more extremely lactose intolerant people because I dont know anyone who is that bad. But for myself, its great to have dairy back on the menu!

Just to lop on the dog pile here, this Lactaid pills are great. Ive used this stuff for years, and I even have turned on a couple friends to these. I take a pill before and during eating dairy. Im moderately lactose intolerant, so even with this stuff I dont brave things like ice cream or straight milk, but cheese pizza is well within the window of survivability. On some instances for me Ive found that Lactaid pills wont take away certain undesired effects of lactose intolerance (you know what Im talking about), but it has taken away the sickly feeling and nausea which is well worth the price. This may be because Im more lactose intolerant than the typical light user. Some of you are probably wondering whether you should get the caplet or chewables. Ive used both, and there is no difference as far as which one works better or worse, theyre both great. If you have trouble taking pills or pills you may have to take semi-dry (these are standard Advil/Motrin sized caplet styled pills), you should go with the chewables. Otherwise, I would highly recommend going with caplets. The chewables have a pleasant taste at first, but after 60 of them, the vanilla flavoring starts being rather repulsive. The caplets you will never taste, and they go down easily. Also, they typically are of comparable price.

Great product. Easy to use. Simple to travel with due to each serving individually packaged. Recommend!

Having a sensitive gut due to ulcerative colitis, one of the biggest disappointments was having to cut dairy from my diet. Lactaid, however, has allowed me to starting having my bowls of cereal again! They come in individual wrappers which, while not very environmentally conscious, are very convenient. The individuals are attached on sheets of six that are easy to drop in your bag or pocket and take with you. One, sometimes two, usually is enough to let me have milk or cheese without much consequence. This box from Amazon is also quite a bit cheaper per unit than youd find at most stores, so I usually order a box every month or two. Youll be surprised how often you have that milk and cookies or grilled cheese once you start counting out your Lactaid supply.

This lets me eat stuff that would otherwise make me painfully gassy. Welcome back to my life fresh cheeses, ice cream and whipped cream. Fact: 60% of the world struggles with digesting dairy. Fact: Most cheese are easy to digest for people because cheese is made from the curds that you separate from the whey in milk. The whey has the lactose (which makes it difficult to digest) in it. Also, as cheese ages, whatever lactose is in it, slowly goes away. The more aged the cheese, the easier to digest. Please vote yes or helpful for this review. Thank you!

I grew up drinking milk, lots of it. My brother and I could finish a gallon in a day. I enjoyed a life of dairy and regular bowel movements. Then I dated a vegan for six months. I switched to almond milk, learned to make some really good vegan food, and found some great dairy substitutes. After that relationship came to an end I tried to rekindle my relationship with milk and cheese and ice cream. I am after all, a pastry chef, so butter, milk, and cheese are essential to my livelihood. My reintroduction to diary did not go very smoothly. My bowel movements became... less regular. I had not correlated these symptoms with lactose intolerance until my bother, whom had also dated a vegan, described a situation similar to my own. Lactaid has helped me regain my pre-vegan lifestyle and has made my work bearable again. Sometimes I forget an individual packet in my work pants, but they have survived the washing machine/dryer every time. Just know that if you date a vegan and it doesnt work out, these work and youll need them for the rest of your dairy loving life.

These pills work great. I have been lactose intolerant for about 4 years now, and these pills let me enjoy dairy once again. They are great for eating cheese or pastries with creme, small food made of dairy. If you want to eat ice cream or drink milk however, I would recommend taking two of the supplements, it will be much more effective. The general rule is the more creamy or liquid like the dairy source is, the more Lactaid you will have to take. Which is the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars, but to be fair they do mention that in their packaging.

    Greater than one week

My life used to be sad, quite honestly. No drinking milk, no eating cheese. If I decided to even attempt to invest either one, I would have awful stomach pains and be on the toilet forever. Using these pills, I am now okay. I ate an entire cheesy meal at Olive Garden, and just this one pill made me not have stomach aches or made me have to rush to the toilet. You can consider me a life long customer now!
