> 24 hourI almost feel bad for those that claim to have received a lemon of a fan. This is my 2nd Lasko 36 tower fan and it works just as well as my 1st one thats many years old. The new one - the 2511 - has only been in use for a couple weeks thus far, but its quiet and moves enough air on low speed that I can feel the slight breeze at roughly 15ft away. Thats just on low. Turned up to high and with the fan standing in the entry way I can feel the air moving at the end of the hall which is probably 30ft away. No chattering during oscillation, either. The same thing can be said for my older Lasko 36 tower fan. I mean much older. Years and years older. Not a decade old, but at least 6 years; old enough to not be sure exactly when I got it. That one has gotten noisy on me, but a fillips screw driver to take off the back panel and an air compressor with an air nozzle to blow out any dust bunnies or cob webs usually made it run quietly again. If it still chattered it was due to the L-bracket which the top of the fan cylinder rides in (just a nub in a sleeve deal) wasnt quite aligned at a right angle. Squaring that off and adding a little bit of grease on the spinning parts made it run quietly once more. If I werent so tired Id go make a video clip of it operating to prove the 6 (or more) year old Lasko 36 tower fan still runs quietly, even while oscillating, I would, but for now ya folks will just have to take my word for it.

> 24 hourThis fan is perfect, its very light so its easy to move around if needed, I typically just have it in my room, I have it on the opposite side of where I sleep, you can feel it from across the room, its so quiet, perfect for me just needing a little bit of noise when I sleep. I dont usually use the remote but my boyfriend does and it works fine. The oscillation has pretty decent range as well. My pets like to sit on the edge of the bed and let the fan blow on them lol. Definitely recommend, I was iffy at first because of the price but its worth it to me

> 24 hourA friend gave us his portable air conditioner, a top rated brand. Our house faces south on a hill with windows. We got immediate relief just having the fans placed facing us and noted cool air moving across room. This fan was purchased along with the tower model, so we use both in room when warmest outside.

> 24 hourIt cools my living room well but it rattles in oscillation mode which is a little annoying.
