Greater than one weekThe fan came packaged well. I would recommend you keep the box and the cardboard-fitted ends for storage when the fan is no longer needed. It was easy to put together, just make sure when you put the base together that the indent for the cable route is located _behind_ the fan, so the wire routes easily behind and neat rather than coming out through the front. Once you clip the two bases together, it has 3 easy hand-turn screws to secure it to the base. The remote requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). It has 3 speeds, an oscillate function, and a sleep timer. The remote can control all of these as well as buttons located on the fan itself. Its relatively quiet at 3 speeds, just not as quiet as some other fans Ive used, so if you need something whisper quiet this may not be for you, but I personally like the white noise aspect of it, though it is still relatively quiet for the wind output. As noted in the picture, I put the remote on top but thats actually a handle for carrying the fan around, but it works as a remote holder as well. Highly recommend this fan especially at this price point.

> 3 dayWhat I did not, like, is the fact that it is much smaller than the two that I bought previously, was not mentioned in the ad, which should’ve been, although it seems to work very well it was surprised to see that it was downsized.

> 3 dayThis is my second Lasko tower fan; assembled the 36 fan yesterday, no matter how tight I turn the screws on the base, the fan still seems wobbly sitting in the base? Not so with my other Lasko fan. Any recommendations? Love the product overall, but this is bothering me....I would give it 5 stars if not for that matter....

> 3 dayI almost feel bad for those that claim to have received a lemon of a fan. This is my 2nd Lasko 36 tower fan and it works just as well as my 1st one thats many years old. The new one - the 2511 - has only been in use for a couple weeks thus far, but its quiet and moves enough air on low speed that I can feel the slight breeze at roughly 15ft away. Thats just on low. Turned up to high and with the fan standing in the entry way I can feel the air moving at the end of the hall which is probably 30ft away. No chattering during oscillation, either. The same thing can be said for my older Lasko 36 tower fan. I mean much older. Years and years older. Not a decade old, but at least 6 years; old enough to not be sure exactly when I got it. That one has gotten noisy on me, but a fillips screw driver to take off the back panel and an air compressor with an air nozzle to blow out any dust bunnies or cob webs usually made it run quietly again. If it still chattered it was due to the L-bracket which the top of the fan cylinder rides in (just a nub in a sleeve deal) wasnt quite aligned at a right angle. Squaring that off and adding a little bit of grease on the spinning parts made it run quietly once more. If I werent so tired Id go make a video clip of it operating to prove the 6 (or more) year old Lasko 36 tower fan still runs quietly, even while oscillating, I would, but for now ya folks will just have to take my word for it.

> 3 dayDidn’t last as long as I thought it did but lasted long enough to satisfy why I needed it. If you want it to last longer. Cut it off when not in use.

> 3 dayI absolutely love this fan. It is so low profile and out of the way. It also does a great job of cooling without being bulky.

Greater than one weekI got this so I would use my apartment window unit AC less. Its been perfect. On lots of summer days when I ordinarily would have had the AC unit blasting I now use the fan from across the room. Its quieter, more comfortable, and of course way less energy intensive. The remote works great. Good fan for a decent price.

> 3 dayLiving in Southern California means dealing with the katabatic winds known as the Santa Anas. Generally, they begin in the late summer and last into early fall, and - to put it mildly - they suck! Now, its only mid-June as I write this, but within a couple weeks the temperature will start to climb into the 80°s, by the end of July well be in the 90°s, August & September will see us in the 100°s. Let me tell you... I. Hate. Being. Hot. Especially at night when Im trying to sleep. As it happens, my old fan took a dump last week, which sucked but at least at least it wasnt 90-fricken-degrees outside, and I had ample time to replace it. This one was very reasonably priced ($38) and I liked that it has a remote control, my old one didnt. This fan was easy to assemble and works well. At speed level 1, its very quiet. At level 2, its a still-pleasant white noise. At 3, its more noticeable, but not so much that it bothers me. Thing is, its less powerful than my old fan. Its level 3 (highest setting) is equivalent to level 2 on the old one. Thankfully, I also own one of those big round floor fans that blow just shy of tornado-creating, so Im prepared. Overall, this tower fan looks good and works well, I love the remote control and am glad I paid less than what I would have at Target or Home Depot. I just wish it had a better blow. Yes, feel free to finish that off with, Thats what he said.
