> 3 daySmall footprint, good power, seems durable and reliable. I’ve had the first one for a while and very happy with it. Just bought one more and I think I may buy even a couple more because they’re easy to talk in here and there and sometimes all you need is a little air circulation. We live in New Jersey. The humidity gets high, putting air conditioners in and out of windows is a cumbersome process and I hate to give up the windows. I foster a number of cats and I need to keep them comfortable. They seem very safe for the cats.

Greater than one weekThis fan is very weak. The noise is significant for such a weak air flow. This is fine for a gentle breeze, but not more. I was looking for an oscillating fan to blow strongly on laundry line-drying indoors in high humidity, so as to prevent mildew smell which my apartment seems to be prone to. I am returning the fan and getting an industrial fan used by contractors to dry indoor wall paint. A V*rn*do would probably be OK but their models are mostly non-oscillating, and Ive lost my confidence in the regular-home-use fans after buying and returning another desk fan and also feeling the fans on display in appliance stores. At an appliance store I was told that, because the materials used now are so inferior, the fans simply could not withstand a stronger motor that would generate more air flow. 15 years ago I discarded a cheap desk fan made probably 25 years ago that was 4 to 5 times heavier than what they weight now and produced a much stronger air flow; I recommend looking for the old fans, if possible. Packing this up for return was surprisingly difficult; things have to fit just right otherwise you cannot close the box and the styrofoam pieces are asymmetrical. I highly recommend taking photos before or as you unpack, unless youre sure you will not be returning this.

> 3 dayI enjoy using this fan for my living room. It is a small enough space that with the fan on I can leave it on for long periods of time without feeling frozen out. With that being said, it is low on the power scale. I think the fan adds to the already a/cd home. However, it feels like a nice breeze when its directly on me while i surf the internet or watch tv. Even taking a nap on the sofa with it not directly on me, helps me sleep well and has gives them room a nice cool temperature, again with the ac on, it is just a fan not an ac fan. I love the WHITE color because it blends with my white fireplace in my apartment and white furniture and because of this and its height, does not look like it takes up noticeable space. It does oscillate (rotate) and it does have a remote. It however does not have a titling knob (that I could find) that directs the airflow up and down, yet, that doesnt bother me because the flow seems at a nice angle when i sit on the floor or sit on a couch. The airflow only goes as high as the fan opening. I really like this fan and think that Lasko being in business for SO many years, they made a good product at a reasonable price.

> 3 dayUse this fan in our room while were sleeping. the oscillation and speed settings are perfect. We dont utilize the timer as we like the fan on all night, but there are multiple timer options. It has a remote which is nice also. Helps my husband tune out the ringing in his ears from Tinnitus and provides a good ambiance for sleeping.

Greater than one weekIt cools my living room well but it rattles in oscillation mode which is a little annoying.

> 3 dayThis is not an air conditioner. I want everyone to understand that if you live in a hot humid state (like I do) and you dont have central air in your house (like I do) then you need to get a window ac unit to actually cool down a room. That being said, this a great directional cooling fan! I love this thing. I also bought the Lasko space heater for the cold winters so I recommend this brand to all my friends and family. I prefer the tower fan to pedestal fan because pedestals just circulate existing air, where towers blow out cooler air and are much more directional when you plan on sitting or laying for long periods. I use this fan mostly during the day when I plan on being at my desk for several hours. I will turn my ac unit up a few degrees so its not running as often and I turn this fan on to keep me cool if I get too warm. The remote control is easy to use and it has a 1-7 hour timer, 3 fan speeds, and oscillation. The lowest speed is pretty quiet but the highest speed has a slight humming noise but its much more quiet than my window ac unit. I use it while I sleep sometimes too when the heat and humidity is insane and it definitely helps me sleep.
