My daughter really enjoyed building this model. Its not overly complicated, and its also a nice little functional piece where moving the steamboat causes the chimneys to move up and down. It sits as a nice little collectible on our bookshelf right now. Overall, we really had a fun time with this build.

Wov this is a beautiful Lego set. Its a collectible, and is now occupying a proud display piece area in our living room. moving steam pipes, rotating paddles, black and white, so beautiful. The steam pipes moving is a bit tricky, but be patient - it works. I am not sure how its all falling apart from some reviewers, for us it worked perfectly fine. This is a one of a kind lego set - collect it before it becomes a rarity to find and is sold for 4x its price.

I love Disney and Legos so I enjoyed putting this together. Thought it was going to be bigger, but it is still a good looking piece.

This is a beautiful set that I had the honor of buying during an exclusive sale to VIP members of Legos shoppers club. That got me early access and delivery of my order a few months before the set was finally released to the general public through all retailers and not just the manufacturers own e-tail system. I didnt have the time to immediately assemble that set, but I did get it done as soon as I could find a little time. From the number of pieces in the set, I didnt think it would take that long, but there are some complicated workings inside that help to give this set more motion and in turn more reminders of the material this set was created to honor. Once assembled, the steamboat will roll along on a fairly smooth surface with the paddle wheels turning but not just with that motion - as a bonus the smoke stacks also move up and down in a piston type motion, just like you may have seen in the original Steamboat Willie short film. I really, really, really like this set. It may not be my absolute favorite Lego set, but it ranks up there highly. I was really happy to get one here. Ive still got youngsters in the family that like to build Lego sets, and they too were excited at getting to assemble this set (under my supervision). With the set I had preordered already assembled, they had a full scale model to look at and figure out all the more how it should wind up, though the instructions that were included with this set are crystal clear and the set itself comes very well organized and fairly easy to work through. In the end, my concerns about assembly come more from the mechanics of the model and not from the assembly itself, or the instructions. It isnt that complicated, but it does leave you marveling and somewhat awestruck at how these plastic pieces come together and offer a working mechanism that will work for some time to come (if you dont take the model apart and build something else instead). Easily 5 stars from me and my family.

Really is a nice gift and very enjoyable to put together. Looks nice after finished. Little costly but what else is not!
