The LEGO Ideas 21317 Disney Steamboat Willie Building Kit brings back a lot of memories for me. I love this black and white set, and I was surprised that my grandsons loved it as well. They don’t remember Steamboat Willie, but they love Disney, animation, and LEGOs. The Mickey and Minnie figures are so cool and the set is fun to build. My grandsons, twelve and fourteen, are experienced builders and really enjoyed putting this together. Besides being fun, it’s a great collector’s item. It makes a great gift and it well worth the time and money.

Our Grandson loved putting this together and liked that some of the parts move. Nice design. It looks nice on his book shelf.

Gave this to my son for his 8th birthday this past weekend. He is a high functioning kid with autism. He loves building and loves challenges. He worked on it through out the day, so I am estimating that it took him about 6-7 hours to complete. Only included one bout of crying from frustration and a little help from mommy, but he did a great job with getting it put together.

It was kind of frustrating to not find one last piece when putting it together, and yet have a bunch of extra ones that didnt really belong anywhere. Other than that, it was still fun to put together.

If youre a Disney fan, then youre gonna love this little set. Its super cute and fairly easy to put together. However the $90 price tag is absolutely ridiculous. Yes, the paddles spin and the smokestacks go up and down, but I believe a $50-$60 price-point is much more realistic. Youre pretty much paying for the Disney name and the nostalgic aspect.

Fun to put together. Have to follow diagrams in book carefully.
