16-11-2024We already have a smaller levoit humidifier but it kept running out of water within a single night or so, and we were still suffering low humidity in our home. We decided we needed another with a larger capacity and looked at this model. I had read reviews saying that this model might work too well in that it left puddles for some people near the machine. I can understand how this could happen as it does spout a HUGE amount of mist that arcs out similar to a water fountain. However this has never happened to us. We keep our humidity at around 40-50. We positioned ours in the bedroom on top of one of those IKEA Lack tables. The mist will spout up and out of the humidifier and easily reaches the ground (visually seems to “touch” the ground). Table is about 17-18 inches tall plus the height of the humidifier, so that hopefully gives an idea of the density of mist that I’m talking about. The reason I mentioned it being confusing is that we have a hydrometer right next to it, but if we set the humidifier to say 40, I have seen the humidifier not go off even though the hydrometer indicates a lower number than 40. I’ve seen it as low as 10 points lower than what the hydrometer claims the humidity to be despite being right next to the humidifier. So I’m not sure what is accurate or inaccurate - the humidifier or the hydrometer. Another thing that’s annoying is that whatever is detecting water in the tank can be finicky. I don’t know if we just have something slightly defective, but the first time we set it up to use, it indicated no water in the tank despite there being enough water. Our work around is that we have to jiggle or lift the tank up and down a few times, causing the air to get into the water tank (you’ll see big air bubbles rise up). Eventually it fixes the issue and it detects the water, but it can be annoying. Design wise, I dislike that you have to flip the tank to fill it with water and then put it back. It’s similar to a water cooler’s design and it just feels a little nerve racking to flip the tank back onto the base in my carpeted bedroom. I think despite all these issues, the humidifier works well and also holds a ton of water. We were previously having dry and cracked skin issues and now we no longer have that happening. We actually haven’t cleaned it yet even though we’ve had it for awhile, but it doesn’t seem like there is any build up yet. We use only distilled water and we use it frequently. Overall if you need a larger tank humidifier, this will do the job. I would suggest getting it on sale though as we did.

> 3 dayThis product is very quiet. I love the 3 mist settings and being able to actually see the level of humidity in the room. You definitely need to use some kind of carbon filter pellets in there if you have hard water. The tank is quite large. Wish this was a top loading tank though. This is not the easiest to clean. There are alot of parts under the tank and although alot of them come apart and come out, there are alot of small places not so easy to reach. Overall I really like this product.

18-11-2024I dont like leaving reviews until Ive had a chance to break in a product. Well sure enough as much as I love the list and quietness of this product as well as smartphone integration the warm mist is now dead feature. Guess I need to get it exchanged now as I planned on buying a second unit as well. Ill be calling on Monday after speaking to Amazon. 5/30/23 - Unit replaced under warranty. Lets hope this one lasts longer than 3 months. Customer service was great in handleing my issue.

> 3 dayI use this humidifier just at night when sleeping. I probably use about 3 gallons of distilled water a week. Its easy to clean and use. My main concern is the sleep mode. Unless I did something wrong or misunderstood, I tried sleep mode one night and the humidifier kept going all night and didnt shut off. The moisture level got high and irritated my allergy symptoms. Since then I only use the auto mode. That always shuts off once the set moisture level is reached. When sleeping Ive turned off the display which is really nice! Ive even fallen asleep with it on without issues. I really like that I can use the app to turn it on/off, set the levels, get notifications if the water runs out, and etc. Finally this humidifier is small enough for this scoliosis person to fill (top fill), clean and carry (has a handle) with no problems.

17-11-2024Pros- awesome unit, mostly quiet, nice capacity. Cons- not suitable for elderly, as you got to toss a full 6l plastic vat like a pizza to reinstall after filling. Also, where the cutout is for the steam pointer, and handle, there are two 90 degree angles of plastic which could have been rounded for safer operation when handling while filling.. Sides that, it is keeking ass and taking names in my apt, love it. PLants love it.

> 3 dayI was tired of the inability to keep our ole Honeywell (filter style) cleaned. I took it apart with intentions to clean, but when I was done…..I wasn’t putting it back together. So, when it was determined it was being replaced, I wanted to find a replacement that had more and better features. After my research, Levoit won out over all the others. Filterless was important. Being able to disable all lights was important along with several others. We turn this Levoit on and leave it on. At this stage, we are very pleased with our selection.

22-11-2024I love this thing! Looking at it just makes me happy! The color is great, I love that its white and the touch screen makes it feel so modern. Love the remote because I can change settings without getting up if I needed to. It does make some noise, I would say less than a fan but still noticeable if you are sensitive to noises. The higher the moist level you choose the noise it is. I love white noise so not a downside for me but if you wanted something silent this is probably not for you. It does last a super long time if you fill it up and I put it on the second just level on 75% humidity. It will auto shut off when it gets close to being empty which is so relieving. I never worry about it overheating or burning etc because it has auto shut off every single time! I fill it with distilled water because I despise cleaning my products and didnt want mineral build up since my water is so hard. Ive been using it for about three weeks and still havent noticed any of the build up others mentioned and I use it every night on the week days and all day on the weekend. I will say if you are looking to buy this just buy it new! Do not buy used... I tried buying it used first and the one I got said no damage except the box and the box was sMASHED. Looks like someone kicked it around and sat on it which of course meant the machine inside was all scratched up as well as had insane amounts of white residue EVERYWHERE not just in the tunnel area but in the box on the machine, literally everywhere. Pretty annoying when it was labeled as very good quality with only damage to the box. Anyways, if you buy new you will have no problems with that because when I bought a new one it was perfectly clean with a nice new box and no residue. BUY IT!

Greater than one weekI like it alright. I think it’s a good humidifier. The only thing that annoys me about it is that I only get one night out of it before I have to refill the tank, and also if it runs out of water, instead of turning off, it just continues to try starting over and over again and it makes a noise when it does that, which is annoying. I wish it would just turn off when it runs out instead of trying aimlessly to start over and over again until I wake up and turn it off.

> 3 dayI’ve been using this humidifier 24/7 for three years without a hitch. I live in a very dry environment and was always getting shocked whenever I touched anything. Once I got this humidifier, that stopped. My living area is 2500 square feet and this humidifier has no problem with the size of the home. If this thing ever breaks down, I’ll be replacing it with another Levoit humidifier product. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayIve owned around 5 different humidifiers in the last 30 years. This is one is by for the best Ive ever used. I use mine in the bedroom to help with dryness and allergies. It is extremely quiet. If you are awake in the middle of the night you might hear an occasional brief but very quiet gurgle (air bubble). Set the desired humidity level and it will cycle on and off to keep it there. I have mine set at 55% humidity and it seems perfect for me. Mine runs around 10 hours a day and I have to refill it every 5 days or so. I use reverse osmosis filtered water and there is no musty smell in the tank. Ive been using it 4 months and hope it lasts. I did purchase the extended warranty through Amazon just in case.
