> 3 dayThis part was almost an exact replacement for my LG wm1812cw washing machine. Of course it wasnt as well built as the OEM but it was very affordable and fit pretty much perfect. My washers main wash water flow was trickling and created the dreaded IE code that meant water wasnt filling up fast enough. I ran a diagnostic test by pressing the spin speed+dirt level+power buttons in that specific order and then going through each test to see that it was indeed the main wash cycle water problem. Search LG diagnostic test and youll find a video or text source that will tell you the tests in order. I replaced the water inlet and its running perfect again!

> 3 dayAfter finding a leak, I was able to identify the source as this original part on our LG washer. This part was near identical as the original, and I was able to swap it out watching a YouTube video. It has been nearly 6 weeks, and the part is doing the job nicely. I cant imagine what the price of a service call would have been. Highly recommend!

Greater than one weekMost other reviews had leaking valves. Our issue was different: the washer stopped drawing detergent from the blue plastic tray. My wife simply removed it and poured the detergent into the main tray as we couldnt figure out what was wrong. Years later a repairman fixing the dryer told us this part was the issue. A valve that directs water into that blue tray had failed and its common for them to fail after 4-5 years. He gave me the part number & said its $50 for the OEM part and a simple install. Found it here on Amazon for way cheaper and it indeed fixed the issue. Update: Part has failed a little over a month after getting it, and just a few days after Amazons return period expired. You get what you pay for & we should have spent the extra for the OEM part.

Greater than one weekSo far, so good. This is not a LG branded part but does work and fit correctly. I also replaced the pressure switch to cast a wide net on the problem. (Thanks YouTube) It was worth $42 total to just throw some parts at it since I didnt have the correct tools to properly diagnose the pressure switch. (Also didnt want to get that far behind on laundry) Please pick up a new lint trap for the dryer while you are at it, you know the felt gasket is trashed, its $16 to not burn the house down:) $58 total, 20 mins to change the parts out. Far cheaper than a service call.

> 3 dayJust got the water valve and it took about an hour to get it installed. Worked like a charm. Just some background for others having LG washer issues. The softener hasnt been working, and after many, many many youtube videos I ended up checking the continuity for the solenoids, and they checked ok. ????? Well I decided what the heck Ill gamble $18 and get a new valve anyway. New valve, softener now dispenses correctly, who knew? One point of advice, if your water hose has been on a long time, save yourself some potential headaches and put in a new gasket for the connection.

Greater than one weekI agree with some of the others that it is a bit louder than the OEM part. I have no comparison numbers, but I estimate it is about 20-30% louder. I have only been using it for a week, but the construction seems good. I think OEM version lasted about 8-10 years.
