> 3 dayMost other reviews had leaking valves. Our issue was different: the washer stopped drawing detergent from the blue plastic tray. My wife simply removed it and poured the detergent into the main tray as we couldnt figure out what was wrong. Years later a repairman fixing the dryer told us this part was the issue. A valve that directs water into that blue tray had failed and its common for them to fail after 4-5 years. He gave me the part number & said its $50 for the OEM part and a simple install. Found it here on Amazon for way cheaper and it indeed fixed the issue. Update: Part has failed a little over a month after getting it, and just a few days after Amazons return period expired. You get what you pay for & we should have spent the extra for the OEM part.

> 3 dayA place that rhymes with ears arts direct wanted $75 for this cold water valve and these folks had it for $20. Price was excellent. Shipping was fast and well packaged. Installation was cake and pie. The fact that this lovely little piece of kit saved me from having several gallons of water come gushing out of my front load washer? Priceless!

> 3 dayThis is the third replacement Ive had to make since we got our LG washer in 2009. These valves always develop a leak after about 3 years of use. Thankfully theyre relatively easy to replace. This one is improved on the previous 3 valves, however, in that it closes more slowly and doesnt produce the loud water hammer effect.

Greater than one weekThe part was a perfect fit. It seemed to me to be an upgrade in quality than the original one. The defective one was in an LG washer and would have cost over $200 to have a technician repair it.. The only down side was the time it took to get the valve.

Greater than one weekI agree with some of the others that it is a bit louder than the OEM part. I have no comparison numbers, but I estimate it is about 20-30% louder. I have only been using it for a week, but the construction seems good. I think OEM version lasted about 8-10 years.

> 3 dayMy LG washer started showing a IE fault code and stopping during the rinse cycle. Of course Customer Service at LG was no help, (use rubber hoses was the best idea they had). I ordered this part and had it in 2 days. It took about 15 minutes to replace on the washers and fixed the problem. So I figure my washer is good for another couple of years.
