Just got the water valve and it took about an hour to get it installed. Worked like a charm. Just some background for others having LG washer issues. The softener hasnt been working, and after many, many many youtube videos I ended up checking the continuity for the solenoids, and they checked ok. ????? Well I decided what the heck Ill gamble $18 and get a new valve anyway. New valve, softener now dispenses correctly, who knew? One point of advice, if your water hose has been on a long time, save yourself some potential headaches and put in a new gasket for the connection.

TAKE A PICTURE before you disconnect all of the hoses and wire harnesses for reference. Or you could disconnect and reconnect one by one....

After finding a leak, I was able to identify the source as this original part on our LG washer. This part was near identical as the original, and I was able to swap it out watching a YouTube video. It has been nearly 6 weeks, and the part is doing the job nicely. I cant imagine what the price of a service call would have been. Highly recommend!

Easy to install and works like a charm. Cannot believe this was as inexpensive as it was. Much better than calling the plumber or washer repairman. Fix your washer for $20 v $200! Takes 20 minutes.

It fit perfectly. I actually thought about purchasing the more expensive one on here for about $50 but I couldn’t resist trying this one first. What do you know? It works perfectly!

This part was almost an exact replacement for my LG wm1812cw washing machine. Of course it wasnt as well built as the OEM but it was very affordable and fit pretty much perfect. My washers main wash water flow was trickling and created the dreaded IE code that meant water wasnt filling up fast enough. I ran a diagnostic test by pressing the spin speed+dirt level+power buttons in that specific order and then going through each test to see that it was indeed the main wash cycle water problem. Search LG diagnostic test and youll find a video or text source that will tell you the tests in order. I replaced the water inlet and its running perfect again!
