Greater than one weekVery decent paint for beginners and pros alike. However, its a good thing I kept my previous jar of white paint. When this current order arrived, while being well wrapped was leaking paint. Amazon would do well to ship and pack such things with a greater care.

> 3 dayThis black paint is wonderful! The photo I took was with one coat over a white model horse and it looks amazing! Its thick and becomes tacky relatively fast so I have to work with it quickly but I love it. It goes on very smooth and dries with a nice satin finish.

> 3 dayI only started painting a year ago, and I tried the “ professional “ brands along with this Liquitex Basics “student brand”. For about a third of what the professional brands cost, I found this paint to be my favorite over all! Creamy and vibrant. I love them!

> 3 dayI bought the bronze color paint. I chose it going by the color shown in the photos rather than what they named the color (risky, I know) because I wanted something copper-toned that wasnt *too* red or pink, but more of a natural copper color. This fits the bill. The paint is a reddish brown penny color under normal light, not a yellowish brown color like actual bronze usually is -- if youre looking for a bronze color. However, when light reflects straight off of it, sometimes it can have a golden/bronze cast depending on the angle. The paint isnt super thick, it goes on evenly and smoothly. If you want really good coverage, youll need to put on more than one layer of paint, and preferably over a darker color. I did swatches of 1, 2, and 3 layers on black and white sketch paper using a soft brush. Getting a good photo was impossible because of the metallic reflection. I took one with light overhead and one without. Overall it would be better if it was more pigmented, but its really not bad for what it is. Im planning on using it for decorative purposes anyway, probably with a copper-toned or brown basecoat and this on top.
